Chapter 2

Okay everyone, this is the 2nd chapter this chapter will focus on Berk, Hiccup and the gang and how life is now. Anyway go and read.

Hiccup's POV

"Hiccup where do you want this piece of ice?!" Valka my mother asked as she and her Storm-cutter Cloudjumper worked together to break a piece of ice from the Island of Berk. After the Bewilderbeast and Drago Bludvist attacked Berk everyone has been pitching in with their Dragons to build Berk back from the ground up, I also took the role of Chief after my Father Stoick the Vast died saving my life after Toothless was put under the control of Drago's Bewilderbeast.

"Hiccup, everyone's in the Great Hall, their wondering what we are going to do with their homes after the ice has been cleared" Astrid landed behind me on her Deadly Nadder Stormfly. "Just put the ice in a pile over there and i will take care of it later, i have to get to the Great Hall!" i yelled back to Mum.

"Toothless, lets go" i said as i hoped on Toothless and Astrid and I both took flight and headed for the Great Hall. We landed outside and walked into the Great Hall on our Dragons, everyone was yelling "when are we going to rebuild our homes?!" one Viking shouted, "what happened to Drago and his Dragon?!" another questioned as I looked around I saw Gobber up the front trying to calm them. Sometimes being Chief was hard.

"Alright toothless, do your thing" I said to Toothless, he roared as loud as he could, at that moment all yelling ceased and now every Viking in the Great Hall was facing Astrid and I.

We walked to the front of the Great Hall on our Dragons, on the way Vikings moved out of the way for the Chief and his Wife. Once at the front we got off Stormfly and Toothless and walked towards the still silent crowd. "Everyone, you have nothing to worry about, we will start to rebuild homes as soon as the ice has been taken from them. As for Drago and his Bewilderbeast... I don't know what happened to him," I couldn't lie to them.

The crowd was silent then they all just...left, murmuring between each other. Astrid put her hand on my shoulder "it's okay Hiccup, you did the right thing by being honest with them." She reassured me, I turned to face her, "was it really the right thing to do? Dad was always better at this stuff than me," I said as I sighed and remembered my Father.

Toothless made a low rumble in his throat as he moved beside me and made me put my hand on his head, he knew what I was thinking and he was comforting me. "Of course it was, I bet even Stoick had trouble when he first started being Chief," Astrid tried to assure me that everything will work out, she's usually right but for some reason I didn't believe her.

I started to walk out of the Hall when Toothless walked beside me, even though he knew what I was thinking and tried to comfort me, I still remember how Dad died and who he was killed by.

"Toothless, let's go," I said as I mounted him, Astrid did the same with Stormfly. "Gobber do you mind looking after the village with Mum for a bit?" I asked, he nodded so Astrid and I took flight.

We flew all the way to Dragon Island, we landed on the sand and got off our Dragons. We walked around for a bit until we saw something flying overhead, it was too far up in the sky to see it clearly but its figure against the sky was enough. We could see that it's a Dragon, but the species was hard to determine.

It looked like a Night Fury only it was spikier than most Night Furies, I looked towards Astrid, and she shook her head in disbelief. We decided to fly back to Berk and look at the Book of Dragons to see if there was anything that looked like this Dragon in there. We took flight and headed back to Berk.

Okay so that chapter wasn't really that great, I feel like this chapter is a bit better than the last but not by much. Anyway I'm gunna go and get ready for school tomorrow BYE!
