Chapter 5

Okay been a while, I actually lost motivation to do anything with this book at the moment... in fact come to think of it i have lost motivation for anything really. But still i will continue to update but the chapters may not be as great as they usually would be and RubyKat44 if i made it look like your character is a bad person just tell me at school and i will fix that. Hiccup's POV

We landed at Berk and we were greeted by passing Vikings, I said a quick hi and then headed to my destination. Fishlegs house. Astrid and I ran to Fishlegs house, Toothless and Stormfly following behind. I reached his house, I knocked on the door. It opened and there stood a chubby average height 19 year old, with pale skin and short blonde hair.

"Hiccup, I didn't expect you to visit," he said sounding surprised. "We weren't planning on it but Fishlegs there is something you need to hear about." I said, he led me inside and we sat down at his dinning too table. "Fishlegs is there any Dragon in the Book of Dragons that looks like a Night Fury but pointier?" He was confused, you could see it.

Fishlegs was a smart person who knew nearly everything about every Dragon Species known but for some reason he was having trouble with this Dragon. "Hmm let me get the Book Of Dragons," he left and returned a few minutes later with the Book Of Dragons.

He opened it to the Strike Class section of Dragons. "I am going to go to the Night Fury and go onwards, it is possible that Bork put the Dragon your talking about close to the Night Fury if the appearance is so similar" his logic had reason and sure enough he flipped the page after the Night Fury and there on paper drawn in ink was the Dragon we saw.

"That's it!" I yelled slightly and Fishlegs looked proud of himself, "it says here that its called a... Sand Wraith. The only Dragon which has such a similar figure as that of a Night Fury, which is why it is rarely identified as a different Dragon. Hiccup, this means that the Sand Wraith could be a relative of the Night Fury," he was excited and so was I, a new Dragon.

"But how come we haven't seen it? We search day after day for new Dragons and haven't once come by this one," Astrid pointed out and she was right. "I don't know. It doesn't say anything about where the Sand Wraith comes from. It can't be from Dragon Island we have been there before and haven't seen it. But this also says that the Sand Wraith is extremely shy and rarely seen, and so far only a few have been seen".

I thought about this, Toothless came over and sniffed the page of the book. He suddenly made a threatening growl in his throat, I was startled he only does that when he considers something a threat. "Woah, Toothless it's okay, it's just a drawing bud," Toothless just gave me a low look and walked out of the house.

"That's really strange, he doesn't do that," Astrid said while looking towards us, "Astrid's right, Toothless is such a friendly Dragon most of the time. Do you think he has a history with the type of Dragon?" Fishlegs asked I shook my head and answered, "I don't know its possible, after all he is a Night Fury".

"I better go after him, he needs a friend...no he needs his rider," I headed out the door and made my way towards my house. I looked inside, nothing so I went behind the house which overlooked the sea. And sitting there looking over the edge was a black Night Fury. Toothless.

"Toothless? You okay bud?" He didn't look back or make any noise just continued to ignore me and look across the sea. I sighed and went to sit down beside him, "Toothless, I don't know what's going on but you need to sort it out." I mumbled Just then Astrid came running up behind us yelling "Hiccup! There's a rouge Dragon coming towards the Island!" I stood up and Toothless did as well, "do you know what Species it is?" I asked as we ran towards the direction of the Dragon.

Astrid looked back at Toothless and then back at me "Fishlegs says it's the Sand Wraith," we came to the spot and I saw Mum and a few other people were here as well. "This is so cool, wait what are we getting excited about again?" Tuffnut asked, Ruffnut just punched him on the arm. "I say we quit standing around and go and tame it." Snotlout insisted, I just shook my head, "no, don't do anything until I say so. We will wait until we know what it is doing".

We waited for a few seconds before the Dragon landed in front of us, I studied it closer and saw how much it resembled a Night Fury. In the dark you would have thought it was a Night Fury. It stared at us for a moment before being barreled over by a black Night Fury. Toothless. He was fighting the Dragon, for no reason. But Toothless doesn't do this unless he has a reason to.

"Toothless st-" I was cut off by Fishlegs "no Hiccup, leave them we can't interfere" I listened to him and watched my Dragon fight. Both Dragons made growling noises and snarls, biting and snapping. They rolled around in the dirt for a bit, then as they got off each other and had a stare down I studied the other Dragon.

I gasped as I saw a scar of a bite on the Sand Wraiths sandy coloured side. It wasn't just any bite mark though, "Fishlegs do you see what I see?" I asked and Fishlegs nodded his head "I do, but Hiccup that isn't just any Dragon bite" I looked on as I watched the two Dragons "I know, its a Night Fury and not just any Night Fury. I think I understand why Toothless is behaving like this, he has fought this Dragon before and it didn't end on good terms".

Scarlet Red's POV

I had led Midnight to one of the guest houses in my Village, yes, I knew her name was fake, I could understand why she didn't tell me I'm not very trusting myself. I had seen her Dragon once before, not her Dragon but the Species. Also upon further inspection I realized it had a bite mark scar on its side and by the size and shape it was a Night Fury.

I walked up to my house at the top of the Village, Starshot followed close behind. I was in silence thinking about today's events. Starshot made a little cat like noise, it was so soft and caring. I looked towards her, "sorry Starshot, I was just thinking. I'm okay" when we finally got home it was already dark, the stars lit up the pitch black sky.

I opened the door to my house, but before I went in I signaled to Sharshot to go to her stone and straw bed in the stable attached to my house. She complied with no hesitation and lied down on her bed and fell asleep. I smiled and chuckled softly as I walked up the stairs to my own bed, I lied down and my eyes started to flutter. Eventually I fell into a deep sleep.

So sorry for the wait I had to do a lot of stuff and messing around with everything on Wattpad so yeah, fun times. If you are confused with the Dragon that landed on Berk don't worry all will be revealed in the next chapter. Bye!
