A/N: I'm being generous and updating again this week because I had time to write extra. 😊 I love you
Stiles (yes, this is necessary)
"Derek, where are we going? Where's Will? And Charlie? Why aren't they helping?" I questioned curiously, trailing behind a very determined Derek. He dragged me away from the hotel faster than I could complain about it. If Liam was missing, shouldn't everyone be trying to find him? Back from the dead or not, we didn't leave people behind, especially not Liam. "Derek!"
"Shut your mo- I mean, just please be quiet. I'm trying to, uh, catch Liam's scent," Derek replied hastily, barely turning his head to look at me. I was a little surprised by his tone, but maybe I should cut him some slack. He was stressed out, after all.
"At least tell me where the others are," I demanded, trying to jog to catch up to Derek. "Please?" I added. I reached for his arm, barely catching his sleeve before he yanked his arm away from me. I sighed heavily and fell back again, following him to where ever it was he was heading. I didn't want to try anymore. He was giving me mixed emotions with all of the kissing and saying we're just friends, and now this.
"In here," Derek said finally, after almost twenty minutes of silence. I didn't say anything, I just followed him inside the old building. I was a little worried about going in the creepy place, but if Liam was in there, then it was worth it. I wasn't one to back out of saving people if they have a chance to be saved, or even if they don't.
"Well where is he?" I asked once we stepped inside and the building was empty. I looked around for places he might be, or other doors to check out, but it was just an open space. "Derek, seriously, where-"
"Stiles," Derek said softly, cutting me off. "It's going to be okay. Trust me." He smiled, or tried to anyways. It wasn't his usual smile, the one I was used to. It seemed forced, like he didn't want to be here with me. He was acting like a complete stranger; a different person.
Confused, I raised an eyebrow. "Are you okay? You don't seem like yourself," I pointed out, taking a step back towards the wall. He was starting to scare me. Maybe there was something wrong with him. Maybe he was injected with a type of drug or something. That wasn't impossible...
Derek stepped forward, head tipped towards the ground. "If I wasn't myself, would I do this?" he whispered as he raised his head and leaned in, his lips brushing past mine. His fingers ghosted across my hips as he tried to press his lips against mine.
Before he could actually kiss me, I braced both of my hands on his chest and pushed him backwards with as much force as I could muster. "You're not Derek," I spat as he fell to the ground, surprised by my actions. He looked dumbstruck, which made me smirk. I sometimes underestimated myself.
The man I thought was Derek looked hurt at first, but then a grin grew on his lips and he started to laugh. "Wow, you're pretty smart, kid," he said, his body morphing into a different person completely. He was a little smaller than Derek, but he had a strong upper body. He was probably in his mid-twenties, or looked like it, and his hair was a dark brown.
"What do you want with me?" I demanded harshly, stepping towards him. When he stood up to his full height, he towered over me by a full head. "Where's Liam?"
"Liam's fine," the man replied casually, turning around to pace the other way. He shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked around. "As for what I want with you, well, I just want information. You see, my coven tried using your little friend to find the banshee, but we didn't have enough information to do the locator spell. We just need you to tell us a few things and then you'll be free to go."
