IN TIME (Camren)

Part 3

Camila's POV

Last night went really great. My family came to Jauregui's house to have dinner as Mike requested. We spent the rest of the day watching movies and laughing at the characters in the screen. When our parents recognized that it's getting late, we said our goodbyes to everyone. I hugged Chris, Taylor and Lauren. Lauren kissed me in the forehead, she always does that and I love it when she does.

It's another day to school, Me and Lauren's house were right next to each other, we have our own family car but I don't have one that is mine because my parents know that I am afraid to drive. So I always go to school with Lauren's car, because she has a lot of courage than I have.

We got to school a little bit early than yesterday, and as we headed into the lobby, the noise was deafening.

"Woah! I can't believe that the school is already noisy although it's a little bit early." I said and Lauren looked at me and smiled.

I know she sensed my uneasiness because she took my hand, and continue to walk. When we reached our lockers that's only the time that she let go of my hand to put her things in her locker. While I was putting my things in my locker, I saw half a dozen of softball team came to Lauren to say hi, including Ally Hernandez, Normani Kordei and Dinah Jane Hansen.

Lauren is the captain of softball team in our school, so everyone knows her for her skills in softball and everyone wants to be friends with her, and I can't blame them. If I was them I would also love to be friends with Lauren because she is sweet and loving. But unlike them, I was lucky enough because I am already friends with the one and only Lauren Jauregui since when we were still kids.

"Aaah!! Lauren we miss you!!" Ally, Normani and Dinah screamed while getting closer to Lauren to hug her.

I can see Lauren struggling to breathe because of how tight they hugged her. "Aww. guys I miss you too. But I need to get to class." Lauren said, while they all let go of her.

"Okay, we'll see you around." they all waved at Lauren and walked away.

That's when Lauren and I made an eye contact and she starts to walk over me, when she reached me, "You regularly lunch with those people." I told her, and she looked at me smiling.

"They're not as bad once you get to know them." she insisted.

"Lemme guess, that's what you tell them about me, right?" I said, and she laugh until we got to our homeroom.

We entered the classroom, and found empty seats that are next to each other at the back, so we took our seats next to each other and everyone was looking at Lauren probably surprised that they were classmates with the popular softball captain of the school. Just a minute later the bell rang, and Ms. Montes raised her head from the papers she'd been shuffling on her desk, walked over to the door, and shut it. And the class begun.

Unfortunately, after class Lauren has a Softball practice, but she decided to drive me and Taylor home first, since her and Chris are both team players, Chris is on Soccer Team, by the way. When we finally reached the house, Taylor was the first one who get out the car, while me, I hugged Lauren goodbye.

"See me at the tree house after your practice?" I asked.

"Okay." she agreed as she hugged me back. I pulled away and when I was about to get out of her car, "Hey, Camz," she said.

"You're not just my best friend, you're my extracurricular activity." she said. And I pressed my hands to my chest and got a dreamy expression on my face.

"I've always longed to be an extracurricular activity." I said, and I kissed her lightly on the cheek and headed down the house.

"I love you!" she shouted from her car.

"I love you." I called back.
