Camila's POV

I don't remember much from last night. The last thing I know was Lauren asked me what she would do about her life, but I tried to asked her what she love, although I know what her answer would be, softball.

Softball is Lauren's life and I just want her to realize that I will support her at any decision she would make, whether it is something that I wasn't used on doing to. I will support her, because I love her. I don't know what that love means, but I love her.

We are now sitting in the school's cafeteria, and I quickly discovered , we are having lunch with Ally, Normani, Dinah, and the rest of the softball team. Well, Lauren forced me to. We are seated in a long table big enough for eight. Dinah was between me and Lauren. Immediately after we ordered, Dinah turned to me, gave me a hug, stroked my hair several times, then rested her head on my shoulder with a sigh.

"I wish you were my little sister," she said.

"You are just so awesome." she continued.

I was really taken aback by Dinah's petting me as if I was her cat.I didn't say anything, I just sat there uncomfortably. Lauren's watching me, she then turned her head to Dinah to rescue me and asked, "Is that your way of hinting me you wished you were married to my brother?"

"Oh, snap!" said Normani. She reached across the table to high-five Lauren as the other members of the softball team laughed.

That's true though, everyone knows Dinah has a crush on Chris since we were sophomore.

"Well, not much but Chris loves you both. So I love you." Dinah said, and everyone 'awed' her. And I just rolled my eyes.

The rest of the day spent mostly with the softball team, well I'm starting to get along with them which is a good sign, right?

Tonight, me and Lauren lay side by side, Lauren on her bed, me on the trundle bed. I am going to sleepover here, well, we always do that.

"Okay, so how was today's lunch?" Lauren asked, staring at the glow-in-the-dark stars in the ceiling we put up back when we were in middle school.

"It was great. " I said, "It's so crazy that we're already seniors. I feel like people are going to expect us to know things we don't actually know." I continued.

"Yes!" she answered, and we both laugh.

I heard someone coming upstairs, then her mom talking to her dad. The hall light went off, and the room, which seemed dark already became even more darker like all I see was black except the ceiling. I pulled the soft sheet, smelling the familiar scent of the detergent Lauren's mom used.

"Shawn really looks at you when you talk to him." Lauren said, by the sound of her voice I don't know if she is growing sleepy or what, but there's something in her voice. "It's intense." she continued.

I looked at her, as if I could see her but I just want to look at her but I couldn't.

Lauren's POV

By the time I let those words out, a tear came down to my face. I was glad it's dark and she couldn't see me, because I was hurting a lot. To think that someone looks at her the same way I do, hurts to the bones.

There was silence between us, and just when I thought she wouldn't answer,

"Mmhm." she mumbled, I can tell she noticed my sadness.

"Don't worry about finding something to do, Lo." she said, changing the subject. "Everything will work out. I can tell. Remember when I told you this is going to be a great year? It will, trust me." she finished.

I listened carefully, and my last thought before closing my eyes was that Camila was right. I will trust her.
