Weep Alone
Cry into the night my darling,
For no one cares but the bittersweet night.
Cry instead of dream my pretty,
For your dreams are worth nothing now.
Cry to your mother my sweet,
As she turns her back and sighs.
Cry to yourself my precious,
You're the only one you can trust.
Cry while you dance my dear,
Weave your way through sobs and screams.
Cry to the empty sky my lovely -
Oh fool, did you think God would care?
Cry as you slowly die my pet,
Your tears gradually killing you.
The acid in their grief burning you,
Into a blackened empty shell.
Your pretty face is no more,
Your dainty hands gone.
Your shining hair has disappeared,
As have your twinkling eyes.
For the price of grief is high,
And it demands to be paid.
Cry to the dead my friend,
For they too weep alone.
