< "Pete can I talk to you?" I ask him.
"Why? So you can talk about how much you hate me?" I want to start bawling and holding him.
"Pete," I say with tears in my eyes. "I-I don't hate you. That's not why I said what I did." He says nothing. "I actually love you."
"Oh, I'm sure you do."
"No you don't understand. I don't just love you. I'm... In love with you." I want to go hide away and never come back to this bus. It's all out now. There's no going back.>
Chapter 3
I look at him with wet eyes. He just stares at me.
"I-I shouldn't have said that. It's ok if you don't wanna be near me. I understand.
As I get up to return to my bunk, he grabs at my shirt and pulls me back onto the couch, really close to him. He puts his hand on my chin and lifts it up so I stare at him. And he smiles right before he leans his face into mine and plants a kiss on my lips. It wasn't a pity kiss, It was an "I love you" kiss. Filled with passion. When he pulled away, he pulls me close and I rest my head on his shoulder.
"Do you know how long I've been waiting for those words to come out of your mouth?" he asks me.
"I never knew that you liked me back." I reply. "I've loved you from day one."
"I've loved you always." he tells me. "So now that you aren't all anxious, you'll be nice again right?"
"Yeah. I'll be good" I laugh.
I fall asleep lying my head on his lap, as he sleeps with his head back on the couch. I love being so close to him. I never want to get up from this spot.
|Yeah so I wasn't really sure how to wrap up this story tbh. Sorry if you waited for this chapter and was just let down. HOWEVER... I could do a second story based off of this one. If you guys want to see that let me know. Thanks for the nice comments!|
