Chapter 4

Momma Barns.

The first thing I noticed as I entered the lunchroom on Monday was Lachlan, Preston, Rob, Choco, Pete or Brandon, Mitch, and Jerome were all sitting at the lunch table that I usually sit at. I made my way over, slamming down my bag and sitting next to Lachlan since that was the only open seat left.

"Hey guys,"

Preston grinned slightly and Rob waved, the others waved and went back to the conversations that were having before.

"Hey Vik." The Aussies voice piped up and I smiled at him.

"Hi Lachlan."

He smiled and I saw his eyes light up, "How are you?"

"I'm tired as fuck honestly, I nearly passed out during English."

He raised an eyebrow at this, "Bad sleep?"

Yeah, I was up thinking about you.

"Mmhm, I didn't sleep until like 4 am and I have to wake up 2 hours later so it didn't matter how much slept I had honestly." I replied, my stomach growling at the lack of food that had entered my body lately.

"Ah.. are you hungry?"

I nodded at he pulled out his wallet, "I'll grab you something yeah?"

"You don't have too-" But he was already gone.

I glanced around the table, seeing everyone with their rightful soulmates. I noticed how Mitch's hand rubbed Jerome's knuckles as they held hands, how Choco would lean over and peck Pete's cheek and how Pete's face would tint pink as he did so. I glanced towards Preston and Rob, noticing how when ever Preston would look at Rob his eyes would light up with happiness and love.

I wonder if Lachlan and I will be like the others someday, cuddled up and sharing kisses every so often.

"Vik?"

Lachlan's voice snapped me out of my thoughts and I looked towards him, he smiled and set down a plate with a pepperoni pizza slice and a few cookies on the side. I smiled at him as he sat down.

"Thanks Lachlan, you didn't need to do this though."

"It's my pleasure dear." My heart fluttered at this.

I picked up the pizza and ripped it in half, handing it to him and handing him one of the cookies.

"You need to eat as well."

He eyed the pizza and gently took it from me, taking a bite from it and I did the same. After a while of eating he spoke up again.

"Hey Vik?"

"Yeah Lachlan?"

I glanced towards him to see his face a shade of pink, he usually isn't flustered- or when we were talking and asking personal questions he didn't turn pink or even look embarrassed at all.

"I was wondering if maybe, uh, you wanted to go on a date sometime this week?"

I grinned as his face turned a deeper shade of red, "I'd love too."

I heard the others start laughing and I glanced over to see Poofless smirking and Merome giggling like madmans.

"Use protection!" Pete burst out laughing as his lover shouted this,

"We d-don't need any VikkLan children running around! No teen moms please!"

I burst out laughing at this, soft giggling and snorts leaving my lips.

"HE JUST FUCKING SNORTS AND ACTS LIKE IT NOTHING." Jerome shouts, slamming his face on the table.

This is gonna be an interesting ride.

Vik ; October 16th, 2015.

I brushed myself off before looking in thr mirror and turning, do I look good? I think I need a woman's thoughts, fuck I'm really nervous.

"Mom?"

"Hm? Yes Vikky?" I heard her footsteps coming upstairs and my door opening behind me. Her smile turned into a grin as she eyed my outfit up and down.

"Going out with your soulmate tonight? How are they?"

I nod and I feel a bit of blood rush to my face, "He's absolutely dashing."

"He? So they're a male?" I nod again and her grin gets even wider, if it's even possible.

"That's cute, what's he like? Could you describe him?"

"He's tall about 6'4, blonde and pale, he has the brightest blue eyes in the correct sunlight. If it's a dim lighting they look like storm clouds, and he's just really attractive." I quickly showed her the photo of him I snapped the other day and she laughed softly.

"Sounds like my son is now a teenage girl."

"Oi! How rude, now can you help me with my outfit?"

"God you are such a girl," She taunted and laughed once more, "It looks fine dear. You look absolutely amazing."

The doorbell rang from downstairs and I glanced towards my mom, and she motioned me out on the room. I quickly made my way down the stairs and towards the door, I turned towards my mom smiling.

"Do you want to meet him?"

"Yes of course I want to meet him! Who do you think your asking?"

I opened the front door to see Lachlan standing there in a black and white striped shirt and black jeans. "Hey Lachlan!"

"Vik!"

"Momma Barns!" My mom piped up making both us laugh.

Lachlan smiled in my mom's direction, "You're Vik's mom?"

She nods, "And you're his soulmate! Vikky was right, you're attractive."

His face turned pink at this and he nodded, "Yeah that's me. I'm Lachlan."

"Call me Mom or Momma Barns dear, now go have fun!" She made a shooing motion and smiled, closing the door as we made our way towards Lachlan's car. He quickly opened my door and went to open his. As we slid into his car he looked at me with his cheeks still burning red.

"You didn't tell me I had to meet your mom, and she called me attractive- What did you say about me that made her want to meet me-? I'm not all that!" He rambled quite a bit before I held up a hand to tell him to quiet down.

"I was getting ready for our date, and I had called her up to check on somethings. She wanted to know what you looked like, so I described you and showed her the selfie that you took on my phone. Plus I called you attractive, because you are."

"I still can't believe I had to meet your mom." He mumbled softly, starting up his car.

"She likes you babe."

"Babe?"

"Babe."

And I'd figured I'd stop it there because I wanted their first date to be in a separate chapter then this so yEAH,
I hope you enjoyed this filler/Lachlan meeting Vik's mom awkwardly.
