"Where's Ava?" Nash questions as soon as I close the door of our apartment behind me.
I shrug. "She ran off."
"What do you mean 'she ran off?' What did you do?" Nash asks.
"I didn't do anything!" I say. "I just told her that Lexi was going to walk with us and then she ran away." I shrug.
"Wait wait wait," Nash says, waving his hands around. "Lexi?!"
"Yeah?"
"Cam, you shittard! Do you not remember Lexi?!" Nash demands.
"Of course I remember her, idiot! I went on a walk with her in LA during Magcon! She's the girl—shit." Everything hits me then.
Ava.
I remember her yelling at me on a beach.
She was crying.
Because of Lexi.
"No freakin way," I mutter. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh uggghhhhhhhhh." I face palm myself.
"So you do remember." Nash sighs.
"I remember now." I mentally slap myself.
"So what are you going to do?" Nash asks.
I shrug. "Well, nothing."
"What do you mean, 'nothing?!'" Nash exclaims. "Do something!"
"Then what the hell am I supposed to do? Just ditch Lexi? I happen to like her!" I say.
"What about Ava?"
"I don't care about Ava! Honestly, if she's so important, then I should have remembered her by now!" I exclaim.
Nash looks solemn. "So that's it for Ava?"
I look down at my feet and shake my head. "I guess it is."
