Glass and tears
Sad story, really
How such a thing happened
To a girl of such beautyFragile like glass
Is how her heart was made
And when it was broken
She could not be savedHer tears flow freely
Like blood from a wound
She hoped and prayed
It'd be over soonRound and round
Was how things were
And every rotation
Appeared as more of a blurAnd every time
The words got sweeter
They took a wrong turn
And the knife cut deeperShe wanted to run
She wanted to leave
Flee from the pain
She just couldn't believeIt was all just too much
A complete and utter mess
But even on a broken road
She knew she was blessedShe knew
She had to walk away
Leave the past behind
And forget yesterdayFresh red rose
Don't take offense
She uses her thorns
As self defenseBut don't push her
A smart one warns
For if you do
She will use those thornsGlass and tears
Sad story, really
What became of a sweet girl
Such as she<Freshly written>
