after ash and i exchanged numbers, i hurriedly bought my groceries and went to pick up my cousins.
i debated if i should stall telling them, or straight-up tell them.
but what was i gonna say?
"oh hey yup i just met ashton irwin at target and we're gonna meet up the rest of the guys someplace k guys"
i just settled on just winging it.
i pulled up in front of the school, already seeing arielle.
she immediately saw me, walking to my car.
i unlocked the car doors as she was about to open it.
"hey," she mumbled, throwing her backpack in the back.
i started driving to pick up my other cousin, leila.
"hi, so guess what happened today?," i ask, biting my lip to refrain from smiling.
"what?," she responded in a flat tone, obviously not interested.
"you have to guess," i scrunched my nose.
"stop. you know i hate when you do that," she groaned, already taking her phone out.
"whatever," i say smirking, turning up the volume for the radio.
"can i plug in the aux cord?," she asks.
"mhm," i mumbled, not really caring.
she plugged the aux cord into her phone and the familar chords of "out of my limit" started playing.
she sang out loud as she scrolled through twittrer on her phone.
in a matter of time, we arrived at leila's school, already seeing her sitting under a tree.
she got up, slung her backpack over her shoulder, and got in the car.
as i was about to drive, my phone started ringing.
i turned off the bluetooth on my phone so the girls wouldn't hear who i was talking to.
"hello?," i say as i press my phone to my ear.
"hey, its ash. this is rose, right?," he asked, already hearing the wide grin through the phone.
"this is her. hey, so where do you wanna meet up?," i ask in a calm tone.
"hm, the boys and i were thinking starbucks," he said as i heard shuffling in the background.
"kay. which one?," i ask.
"i'll text you the address right now. see you soon, cant wait to meet the girls," he giggled.
"okayy. see you soon, bye," i say as i hang up.
I instantly got the address from ashton and went on my way.
"why'd you take the bluetooth off?," arielle cocked an eyebrow.
"we're going to starbucks," i ignored her question.
they kept quiet, not really knowing what to say.
as we got closer to the place, i parked in a nearby spot.
"why arent we going to drive through instead?," leila asked.
"you ask too many questions. come on," i say as i get out of the car, the girls following my actions.
we entered the popular café, with surprisingly not that many people.
