                                                CHAPTER 12

Times like this is when I miss my father the most.

Being away from my family for a whole week after going through the hunger games is no easy task.

After Snow threatened me I tried contacting my mother back home but she didn’t answer.

I’m starting to overthink the whole Gale situation , I remember the last time I saw him , the day I came home from the Capitol , I didn’t see him after that but I assumed it was just because of his work in the mines , But now everything has changed and  I don’t know why?

Gale P.O.V:

I sit in my secret spot in the woods , thinking .

I have well and truly given up, I got fired from the mines, I keep on having horrible fights with my family even though I have provided them with food and protection for the past four and a  half years.

Last night I escaped from my house after having a bitter row with every member of of my family included.

I haven’t returned , and I don’t plan on returning yet.

I meant I don't have to go back to the Seam. Think about it. Panem is only here, in North America. Wasn't there six other continents? , Continents filled with noone at all, but big empty houses? And possibly food.

Could I make a life for myself out there?

I can survive in the woods , but in the world beyond Panem , what is there?

From what we learned in school, before there was Panem, and the Capitol, and the Districts, there were other places. The Capitol wouldn't look for us, if we were farther away from them. I could live my life, not having to worry about anything except myself.

Katniss P.O.V:

“Phone for you Ms. Everdeen”, A servant tells me.

I run to the phone in my room and answer it quickly.

“Hello, Katniss Everdeen speaking?”, I say down the phone.

“I am not happy Ms. Everdeen”, Snow fumes.

“What?! , I’ve been on my best behaviour!”, I explain.

“Madge Undersee disappeared yesterday!”, Snow spits.
