A man in a dark cloak walked out of a unstable jelly wall. The wall stuck to him until he was a far distance away from it and it made sucking sounds as it fell back into place. Looking down at his papers he stepped in a little goo that still hadn't melted away. He stopped walking and looked up at the mess created in the hallway. He stared at the quiet commotion on everyones face. Amanda was trying to get up while Dezz was frozen in place on the floor. Black ooze fell from the branched ceiling, dropping to the ground splashing drops of dark liquid around the hall helping it become even more of a disaster. The black drops sizzled in place releasing little puffs of steam into the air and swallowed the pieces of bark and wood it was resting on.

Dezz stared at his hands shocked by the energy he just released out of his own knowledge. His mind couldn't wrap around what he had just done. How did he not know that he could do that? Had he always had that in him? Nothing was clicking anymore, not like it had been anyway. It had felt like an electric spark had shot through him and a flame was chasing behind it.

Skylar was trying to get to Amanda but his newly told dad was resisting him trying to calm him down, control his emotions. Little cracks formed on the surrounding walls and the ceiling protecting them from up above, as he pushed his way past the mans resisting arms. The man stopped and let go letting his newly claimed son as Skylar stormed off toward Amanda, worried she was out for the last breath.

As he stepped closer to her, his feet gripping the scrabbed and unhinged branch and stone pieces, he noticed she was being crushed by the downfall of the roof that once was up. He brushed and pulled the pieces away revealing more of her body that was crushed below, her hands and arms, legs and knees were all scrapped from the rumble. Blood was smeared across her clothes seeping into a stain. Her body seemed as if it didn't even happen. Tensed and struggling, she lay there, unconscious of anything happening inside or out. Skylar kneeled down beside her, staring at her blank face feeling the pain she didn't know. He looked at her dripping arms, the redness slipping down and spreading across what floor was still untouched, rolling down the chaotic mess of rumble.

Skylar reached toward her red arm, touching what skin remained firm, and the red liquid that was once flowing inside her. It stuck to his fingers feeling warm but becoming cold in an instant. He shuddered, goosebumps crawling from below and climbing up to the top of his hair. He could of helped her but the old man didn't let him get to her. He was angry at how helpless he was for her. The extra step he could of taken to get to her before she became enticed in a sleep that was not called for by her own will.

Dezz slowly took a step forward, balancing himself from the strike of power that overflowed his body. Finally he was able to take a few more steps trying to get his mind wrapped around the moment but he wanted to make sure Amanda was ok seeing she wasn't moving and Skylar was hung over her. His head hurt from the over thought cramming his head with things that wouldn't connect together and form an explanation. This wasn't anything he had seen in his lives eyes. It blinded his thinking process, shutting down and all the sparks of knowledge coming to a dead end.

Every step he regained a little more strength to his structure, as he tried to get over to the unmoving Amanda. There she was laying there, he still didn't understand how she got here or why her. His thoughts were intermixing with one another. Once he reached the small pile of broken branch pieces from the protection of outside, he saw that Amanda was in even worse shape than he had thought. The flesh on her arms and legs being open to the air but covered by the blood seeping out of her skin. Skylar didn't look over at Dezz, his focus on Amanda and her wounds that needed help fast. It was quiet around the room, and it seemed the any life that was stirring before was taken away in the gust of feathers.

Skylar looked at Amanda's face, her eyes closed and no movement to the flinch. She was in complete motionless state, unaware of the dead life around her. Skylar reached down and stroked his hand across her forehead and brushed it through her hair as it slipped through his fingers until he got to the end and it dropped back down in the mess.
