Leah

I rolled off of Ty as I rushed into the shower, a feeling of slight pain running through my inner thighs. The heat of the water soothed me and as I let the water run through my hair and pelt my body. I stepped out of the shower and saw Ty brushing his teeth. I turned up my nose.

"Do you mind?" My attitude was on full blast.

"I figured we could save time like this. Plus, I didn't mind last night what makes you think I mind now?" Ty grabbed my hands and pulled me closer before I groaned and untangled myself from his grasp. "Yo, what is your problem?" He looked at me with a pitching rage.

"Nobody has a problem but you. You're the one yelling and shit at eight o'clock in the damn morning." I rolled my eyes as I put on some panties after drying myself off.

"You can't knock a nigga for trying, I mean damn. I'm only yelling because you walk around here like you don't wanna be here." He said as he followed me around the room, on my tail with every movement I made. I regretted my next remark as soon as it escaped my lips.

"Maybe I don't wanna be here." I turned to face him. His eyes changed from rage and hate to hurt and sadness.

"You know what Ah-lee-yah," he placed emphasis on the syllables of my name for some stupid ass reason. Then he lifted his index finger and pointed it in my face. "You're fucked up man." He said quietly. He pulled a shirt over his head and then walked out of the room. Shit. I grabbed my robe and ran after him as I pulled it on. "Day, Andre, we out. Let's go."

Dana ran out of her room in her Frozen pajamas with Dre trailing behind her out of his room. He rubbed his eye with one fist as he tugged on his Darth Vader pajama shirt with the other.

"Where we goin' daddy?" Dre said and I grabbed him to stop him from rubbing his eye.

"Nowhere. Daddy was just calling y'all to wake you up, that's all." I said staring at Ty. This nigga is crazy if he thinks he's about to take my kids. Dana looked at me with slight curiosity in her eyes. As she got older she started to understand more and more.

"So why you say lets go?" Dre mumbled with his thumb in his mouth.

"'Cause they fighting that's why." Dana folded her arms over her chest and went into her room. She slammed the door behind her making Dre jump in my arms.

Ty sighed and hung his head into his palms.

"Ty, I'm sorry I-"

"Don't." He pointed at me sharply with anger in his voice. "Don't you dare start with that apology sh-stuff." Dre started wiggling which was a signal for me to put him down. He ran off as soon as his feet hit the floor. "Lee, what's happening to us?" Ty said with a softer voice.

"I...I don't know." My voice cracked. It was silent for the a while as we both avoided eye contact. "Well, I gotta get to class so..."

"Yeah I gotta drop the kids off." We both just stood there and then he went into Dana's room while I went into my room.

I quickly dressed in simple black leggings, a grey sweater and black Converse. I simply pulled my curly hair back into a messy ponytail not worrying about my wispy hairs going wild. With a few coats of nude lipgloss and some mascara my look was complete.
