-Selana's POV-

It's only been three hours and I was already convinced to kill myself. My dad was making my life more of a living hell than Logan ever has. He made me cook him and his girlfriend breakfast, clean tthe whole house, do his laundry, unpack his stuff, and get his room ready.

I was in the middle of unpacking his bags and replacing my moms stuff with his stuff when I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I checked it to see a text from Ariana saying:

"Are we allowed to live with you...if that's okay. Or else Logan and I will be sent to an orphanidge."

I knew my dad wouldn't let them. He wasn't a people person, but it was worth a shot at least. I walked downstairs and hoped for the best.

"Hey dad..." I started.

"What do you want?" He spat at me in a harsh tone.

"My friend's parents died." I felt sick at the fact I just referred to Logan as my friend. "Anyways...they need a place to stay. Can they please live up here? I promise they won't bother you. We have an extra room upstairs. They can stay there. Please dad, I'll do anything." I begged. I thought my life would be easier if Ariana was with me.

"Hmmm..... anything?" He said smirking.

"Almost anything, why?"

"Fine, but you're under MY commandments. Disobey be and I will throw you out in the streets where you belong." He threatened.

"Thank you."

I walked out the door and went over to Ariana and Logan's house. I rang their doorbell and waited outside patiently waiting for the door to open. Eventually the door was opened by, of course, Logan.

"How may I help you?" He said very pissed off.

"Actually It's how may I help YOU." I said harshly to him. "You want a house to live in or not?"

He seemed to know what I meant. He pursed his lips and squinted his eyes at me, as if he were making a life or death desicion. "I suppose."

"Then pack up your crap and let Ariana know. See you later I guess." I looked at him one more time and turned around, walking slowly back to my house next door.

"Selly. Go get me a beer." My dad ordered.

"We don't have any. My mom didn't drink. You knew that." I stated.

"Then go get some?"

"Can I have money?" I asked. There was no way I was using mine.

"You ain't got money of your own?"

"Nope." I lied. I had a lot of money that I've been saving since I was twelve. I had about six-hundred. I wanted to save it for college or something. I know it wasn't much but it could come to use one day.

"Fine. Buy you're payin' me back." He placed twenty dollars in my hand and gave me a nasty look.

"Okay." I think we all know I ain't paying him back.

I walked out the door and down the street the opposite way from the boardwalk. A few blocks down was an outlet of shops. I went to a CVS and hoped to find beer for my dad. I went to the back where the drinks were and took a pack.

I went up to the front and placed the twenty dollar bill on the counter.

"ID please?" The man asked. He looked like he was in his twenties.

"What?" I said in confusion.

"ID. You can't buy alcohol unless you are twenty-one or older." He said.

"No no. You don't understand. It's for my father. If I don't get him this he'll kill me. Please just trust me." I pleaded.

"Sorry. Not buying the sob story." He rolled his eyes and shook his head not pleased.

"Come on!" I yelled.

"Go away."

"JUST GIVE ME THE FREAKING BEER."

"Security!" He called.

"You don't have any security here!"

"Whacha gonna do about it? Are you waisted or something? Now GO." He demanded.

"Fine. I hope you trip and fall in a ditch." I mumbled in anger. I ran out the door and walked back to my house. When I got outside it was pouring rain. Perfect.

I opened the front door and saw something horrifying.

You wouldn't believe it.

Ariana and Logan were at my house already with most of their stuff, and they were getting along with my dad. Not even kidding.

"So Logan, you seem like you're a nice kid. Along with you Ariana. You're welcome to stay here at my house!" He said in a honestly happy tone of voice, which I haven't heard in forever.

"Thanks Mr. Gomez!" Logan chirped.

Due to my wrath I slammed the door behind me and glared at Logan and my dad.

"Where's my beer?" My dad asked me.

"They wouldn't allow me to buy it. I'm under age.

"You're lucky I like these children. I may even adopt them." He said. This honestly broke my heart a bit.

"Oh...okay." I choked out.

"Now go prepare us dinner." He ordered.

"Alright." I walked slowly into the kitchen depressed with my life.

"You okay?" Ariana followed me into the kitchen behind me.

"Yeah. I'm fine."

"I don't see why you hate your dad. He's so nice!" She said all excitedly.

I rolled my eyes at her comment. "You don't know him."

"Well, he seems nice. Anyways, need help with dinner?"

"Sure, I guess."

"Well Selena, you're dad is pretty cool." Logan walked into the kitchen and stood next to Ariana.

"Figures you would think that." I mumbled.

"Excuse you?" He gave me an evil grin as if he were going to do something to me...I wasn't sure what.

"Logan let it go." Ariana said.

"Ariana I'm just playing with her. I don't see why she makes everything into a big deal." Logan laughed.

"Listen Logan. This is my house. Not yours. So screw off or I'll escort you to the orphanidge myself." I threatened.

"Try me." Logan glared at me.
