It was a regular day for Rosie. She woke up, and ran outside to the tall cliff by her house, in her pjs.
"Get back in here!!" Mrs. Amulet yelled
"Mom, just for a minute?" Rosie asked
"No, get in here, your gonna kill yourself" Mrs. Amulet yelled
"Fine!" Rosie said angry
Rosie stomped inside with her fuzzy bunny slippers on.
"Now do your schoolwork, you spoilt, homeschooled child" Mr. Amulet said grumpily
Rosie ran into her bedroom with her schoolwork (Apple laptop).
Why are my parents so cruel? Rosie asked herself. As she did her school, on her phone beside her, a message from Jack came through.
Jack: Hey Rose, what's up?
Rosie: oh the usual, doing schoolwork and awful parents, lol. You?
Jack: Same here, a sucking up sister and schoolwork for me lol
Rosie: haha. After school, wanna join me for some dangerous stunts?
Jack: Of course I will! I'll always be there
Rosie: Thanks Jack, but I gtg my parents are coming
Jack: K bye Rose
Rosie: Bye J
Rosie quickly dropped her phone and continued her school.
"How are you doing with your work?" Mrs. Amulet asked
"I'm doing good. I'm soon done with my essay for ELA." Rosie replied
"Ok, that's good" Mrs. Amulet grumbled as she left the room.
Rosie wiped her head in relief. A tear fell from Rosie's eye because, of how rude her parents were.
Rosie was finished school for the day, so she met Jack by the cliff next to her house. Rosie waved him down.
"Hey Rosie, are you ready?" Jack asked
"I was born ready Jack!" Rosie laughed
Rosie got by the cliff. Her heels were right on the edge, and Jack closed his eyes in fear. Rosie did a front flip and landed on her hand. She almost slipped off, but she forced her body to the grass, were it was safe.
"Rosie, you almost killed yourself" Jack screamed
"Almost Jack, I never killed myself" Rosie laughed
Her dad barged outside.
"Rosie Marie Daisy Amulet, you almost killed yourself!" Mr. Amulet yelled
"Sorry dad, I'll come inside" Rosie cried
"And Jack, get your butt outa here" Mr. Amulet yelled
"Ok sir, Bye Rosie" Jack said sadly and left
"Bye Jack" Rosie cried
Rosie went into her bedroom, and cried and cried and cried. Why can't I just be myself? Rosie asked herself. A last tear fell from her eye and she wiped her face. Maybe I'll just have to try and get scared of things! Rosie said to herself once again.
