THREE MONTHS LATER
Hayes has decided to move in with us to help me with everything. I'm now taking online school to make the pregnancy easier.
Today was my birthday and so last night Hayes and I had a little fun, but it was of course safe for the baby. Long story short, I'm really tired. I wake up to a huge "Happy Birthday" sign on our wall that Hayes must have put up last night because he is still sleeping. I wrap my arms around him and start to drift back into a sleep when he starts tickling me.
I laugh and he kisses my cheek.
"Let's get up babe," I say.
He smiles and i attempt to get out of bed, resulting in more tickles.
I head over to the bathroom because of my morning sickness and then I pee. I look down into the toilet and I see a little blood. I cover my hands over my mouth and start to cry. Hayes runs into the room but I just want to be alone.
The baby that we were so prepared for might not come after all.
