"If I can't trace back the prints to the the surrounding objects, how can I find the prints to the weapon that led to the decapitation of Mr.Glender?" Officer Jameston thought aloud.
I bend down and ponder at the crime scene. I look around for any clues. I stand back up and reassert myself. "What if the suspect didn't use a weapon?" I reply to Garrison's question.
He scratches his chin in confusion. "Amber, you think someone could have the capability of doing this? Or maybe if someone had a motive to do it?" He asks me.
"Maybe, or maybe not. Do you think it could be cannabilism?" I ask deep in thought.
"Ehh I don't think so. He continues. We haven't had a case in years, but could it have also been a vengeful spirit? I freeze in the thought of the question. I have never thought of that.
" I don't think so we've never had anything like that before." "But it could happen, even though it hasn't happened to us though." I say going through past cases.
"Well you stay as long as you want I'm gone head back. I've got another call coming in." He says starting to walk out the door. I hear the car door open and I shout "Be careful!". He beeps twice and starts his sirens. Garrison drives off and I head back to the taped off room.
I look at the blood scattered everywhere by section 4. That's an odd color for blood. I take a closer look on the table. I notice something. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. "There are two different spots of blood." I say to myself. One is red and the other is almost completely black, as if it's rotted. "Hmmm" I hum. I take a cotten swab and take two samples of each blood pools. I'll take them to the lab later and get them tested.
"How peculiar." I hear a voice behind me. I turn around to see a rookie detective, Pete. Pete is a tall, lean younger man. He has bright blond hair with dark but sharp features. He's smart but doesn't think as complex as I do. He's very limited to help, he's learning but is just kinda there.
"Have you talked to Glender's neighbors and relatives?" I ask turning back around to continue the observation. "Yes, nobody had a motive to kill him nor did he have any grudge against anyone. Nobody hated him either." He explained walking towards section 1. "Odd." I comment.
After finishing taking samples I look up and scan around the area more time and catch something in the mirror. I focus in on it and turn around to where it hides. I walk over and pick it up. I'm quite unsure to what it is, but I can infer it's nothing any of us have ever seen before. I flip it over and examine it with curiosity. It's definitely not normal for its very hard but sharp and ridgid. It's almost as if it looks like a finger but has a hard outer shell. I'm very unsure of what it is so I'll take it to the lab too and get it checked out. I plop it in a sample bag and put it in my case.
Pete writes down the scenery and possible outcomes in his journal. I walk over and look over his shoulder to see what he has written. He writes down some of the same observations Jameston and I made but also has other more common questions too.
I pat his shoulder because I'm impressed of his information is written and how neat but descriptive he his journals are wrote. He gives a cheeky grin and closes his journal and puts the pen in the spiral of the book.
"Hey rook why don't I take you out for lunch and give you some tips and how everything works." I offer. He accepts with a nod and we head out to the car.
He chooses a place called Jerry's, claiming it's the best sandwhich place ever. I giggle and listen to the directions he gives me as I come to a stop at an intersection. "Go right." He directs. I do so and drive for about 2 miles. I turn on some music and switch between the stations only half paying attention to the road. I look up to see something sitter across the street a few feet ahead of us and slam my brakes. The tires screech and I'm breathless. Could it have been it? Do my eyes deceive me? "It was probably a fox." Pete says a bit shocked still from the abrupt stop. "Probably" I say half-heartedly hoping he's right.
Soon we arrive at the place and I get out slowly. I check my mirrors and all around the car and in every direction. I stay alert, just in case of coarse. I follow behind pete and we sit down in a booth. I chose the side facing the door. I sit down and keep my focus on the door and start to tap the table repeatedly. Pete notices my neverousness and asks if I'm alright. " Uh yeah, sure." I stutter.
The waitress comes over and says sweetly "May I bring you a drink and could I take your order?". "I'm fine, thanks." I say quickly and avert my attention back to the doors and windows of the restaurant. Pete looks at me with a questionable look but then replies to the server "Uh I'll take the usual.".
I rotate my eyes to the window and door every 2 minuets. The waitress brings the food and Pete thanks her. He eats in silence unsure of what to say. I finally start to calm down a bit and look down at my hands. "AGGGHHHHH" I hear an awful sounding scream outside. I stand up quickly and dash out the door. The person that screamed slumps to a knee and then falls. The heads rolls to the side of the body fallen and I look behind it. A black looking creature that has red stained teeth a long tongues and on all fours. I fumble for my gun. I was right. It's a Cripton.
