"The appearance of the sinkholes was uncommon and unexpected. We have contacted officials to located the cause of this phenomena, which is yet to be discovered for the future of the world itself. Many new things have occurred in this world we live in today, and we have no past of them, therefore, we are depending on ourselves to discover what the universe is yet to bring us. Then again, we are still unaware what we all are capable of. So I wish all the luck and safety to you and your families, all I can say is too be aware of your surroundings." The woman off of the news channel announces with worry.
"This is so scary, to even phathom about anymore. Between the Cripton, the teenager and the sinkholes, what is even more to come. How are we to prepare for it? What do we expect when this happens and what could the aftermath bring us?" I say with greif.
"I'd say it's best just to give it some time, as the lady said, people don't even know what caused the sinkholes. So unless it's was a typical form of nature that hasn't been studied yet, or some supernatural event, who even knows? It's not like we can't produce the technology needed to examine these situations, even if it takes some time to even assess it. Amber one way or another we will figure this out." Pete hypothersizes.
I raise an eyebrow in agreement. "That's true." "I'm going to call Garrison and see if he can hook me up on his recent and past cases. Maybe I can distinguish if any cases correspond to any of these recent "occurences"." I indicate with the curl of my fingers trying to put quatations on the word.
Pete gives a cheeky grin on my awkwardness and gives a little chuckle. I smile back and pick up my phone.
I dial Garrison's number and hold it up to my ear. "Hey, sweetheart can you come over and bring a whole bunch of cases, please?"
"Why, exactly?"
"Just bring them and you can help me, if you want too."
" Ok then, I'll be there in a minuet, honeybuns."
We hang up and I laugh a little. Goodness, I love messing with Garrison so much.Within an hour I hear a knock on the door, not a normal knock though, a special Garrison knock. I motion him to come in and he does, carrying a box of lemon colored folders.
Shutting the door with his foot he says "What have you two scaliwags been up too?".
"I didn't know you were that fancy, but we've been going through all the information collected about the past phenomenons." I inform him.
"Oh, ok." He grunts as he sets the box on my desk with a thud.
"I'm going to the store before we start any of this. What do you too kiddies want?" I ask as I put my jacket on.
"Sweet tea"
"Soda!"
I nod and grab my black wallet, crocheted with red knit in the form of the "Fleur-de-lis" symbol. I smile as it brings back a memory of my father. Quickly though, I shake my head wiping it away.
I open my door to my silver Camero, with a black stripe, running horizontally along it. I sit in and immediately turn on some music. I still haven't grown out of my taste in music since middle school, which blankly consisted of along the lines of the "pop-punk" genre.
As I tap to the song playing I pull into a gas station parking lot and turn the keys, shutting of my car. I Hum to the beat of a song a tap on my thighs also.
I open the door and hear a little bell ring above me. A lady smiles and waves at me from behind the counter and I greet her back. I grab the drinks the boys wanted and grab one for myself and I head too the counter afterwards.
We exchange money and she thanks me and I wave goodbye to her.
I start to walk out and notice something to the right of the buliding, as if someone were bent over crying.
I furrow my eyebrows and approach the person slowly. "Hey, sweetie it's ok." I say putting my hand on their shoulder.
Before I could realize what was happening, the thing managed to turn around so quickly and bit my hand.
"Ow!" I scream in pain as I grasp my wrist. I curse to myself and wince.
"What was that?" I think to myself.
I look down at my wrist and wince.
It hurts alot but the wound seems to fade. Im unsure of what it is happening but my wrist recovers as if nothing even were to happen. My stomacg begins to turn at the thought of it.
I try to shrug it off but I don't think I can just be able to not think about it right now. I rub my wrist again and open the car door. The engine begins and I pull out of the parking lot. Trying to keep my mind of of things, I put on the radio.
It isn't long until the feeling returns to me. Just as I try to shrug of the feeling again I see a little girl. In the middle of the road. I slam on my breaks and gasp at the thrust of the car itself. I bounce back in my seat and wipe a piece of hair out of my face. I throw my car door open and jog over to the girl.
She doesn't move and go to put my hand on her shoulder "Sweetheart are you lost?" I place my hand on her shoulder but it just goes right through. I pull back quickly and am thrown off guard.
My eyes go wide. "What is wrong with me? What is even happening?" I wonder to myself. I cock my head back up to the little girl but she starts to walk away. "Hey, wait!" I yell towards her. She doesn't stop so I start to follow her.
She walks towards to a near by tree off road and points to it. "What?" I question. The little girl disappears before my eyes and I'm left alone. I knit my eyebrows in confusion.
I realize the feeling has not left me quite yet and I wonder why. She's already left so I don't understand why the feeling hasn't left.
I head back to my car in confusion.
I look down and stuff my hands in my jeans pockets and blow some hair out of my face. All of the sudden I hear a cars ear piercing screech and stop dead in my tracks.
Stunned and still trying to process what has happened and realize that the car has crashed into the tree that the girl pointed at.
"Did....did... did I just have a premenition?" I think aloud.
