I continue to look out amongst the crowds.
The smiling children, the overjoyed mothers, the grinning fathers, our soldiers celebrating.
I look up at Aaron. He's smiling at the crowds of people, and he looks at me.
He asks me if we should return to base.
I look up to him and nod my head yes, now realizing just how tired my body is.
When we return to base, we all have a meal together, and celebrate no longer having to live in secret, and a new beginning.
James is asking Kenji about the war, and I can't help but laugh as Kenji turns something so tense and chaotic into something that seems as if James could've handled on his own.
Adam and Aaron have talked a couple of times since we returned, Castle is taking a warm shower, and everyone else seems to be enjoying themselves.
Everyone in Sector 45 had a meal, and we all made sure that they had a roof over their head, water, blankets, and other necessities.
They all thanked me.
However, what I didn't want to tell them was that everything that had happened today, was only the easy part.
