"Oh my God."
He looked up sharply to see his partner, FBI Agent Tobias Fornell, stand up from his desk and look at his screen in shock. "What?" he demanded, abandoning his computer.
"One of the NCIS agents is currently in a coma," Fornell replied, sitting back down and putting his face in his hand. "One of Gibbs’s favorites and best."
He tried his best to look concerned. "How?"
"He hasn’t said anything about it," Fornell answered, typing away. "But he wants me over there as soon as possible."
"Go. I’ll handle the field here."
Fornell looked up at him. "You sure?"
"Go to him."
Fornell practically grabbed his stuff and shut down his computer within two seconds and was running to the elevator.
He shook his head, then clicked on his e-mail. Right away, he frowned. A new e-mail had showed up just ten minutes ago.
Right before Fornell had received the message from NCIS.
Curious, he opened the link.
Only five letters opened up onto the message: I know who you are.
