Waking up, Ash stretched her arms and legs, making the headboard slightly creak at her movement. She let out a breath, thinking about what happened last night, realizing there was someone else in her home. A guy. She shook her head, trying to clear her head of thoughts, knowing it would just be a distraction.
She got out of bed, making her way over to the bathroom and observing her face in the dusty mirror, something she hadn't done in a long time. Brushing some of it off, she noticed her hair was just atrocious, but her face was in good temperance. Grabbing a hairbrush, she quickly combed through it and twisted it into a bun.
Wait, why do I give a shit about what I look like? She thought to herself. Then with a squeamish feeling, she thought maybe it was because of Jack. Shrugging it off, she pulled on some shorts and a shirt, then stumbled out of her room across the balcony to the guest room.
She knocked on the door,
"Yo wake up." she said loudly, pushing in the door to wake him up. The yellowing sheets only covered just below his torso, revealing his shirtless, toned upper body and the top of his red boxers. She blushed, only imagining running her fingers through his tousled hair or tracing his jaw with kisses. His blue eyes fluttered open met hers, a grin lazily spreading across his face,"Why so red?" he asked playfully. She turned away from his icy stare,
"It's not your business to concern yourself with my thoughts." She stated almost professionally, looking down and playing with the bottom of her shirt.
His hands flew up in mocking defense,
"My bad, Miss." he said as he got up out of bed and started making his way towards her. Her eyes couldn't help but wander back to him, his tall, muscular body being a sight for sore eyes.Clearing her throat, she murmured,
"I need to ask you a few questions. Just to know if I can trust you." She looked back down at her shirt. His long fingers cupped her chin and brought her eyes back to his,
"If I wanted to kill you, I would've already done it. I don't plan on stealing from you. You really don't trust me?" he asked, she sensed a little hurt in his voice. She shook her head slightly,
"No it's just I-" she was cut off by his lips pressing against hers. Her eyes widened, the kiss being extremely unexpected. She let herself go for only a second, melting into the kiss, but then immediately pushing away.
"What the hell??!" she asked, feeling her cheeks burn even more red than before. He pulled away, shock settling in his eyes for a moment,
"God, I am, oh Jesus I am so sorry I have no idea what came over me I just, oh god, I'm really sorry." he tripped over his words, scrambling to explain in a panic.Still blushing, she sighed,
"It's.. it's fine, I just, really really wasn't expecting that." she slowly exclaimed. He sighed,
"I know, I am so sorry. Um, I'm gonna grab some clothes and then I can meet you downstairs?" he asked, trying to cover up their little scene. She nodded,
"Yea yea, sure." she said. He smiled, closing the door and leaving her hanging on that kiss and his panicked words.
