Chapter 9 : Nightmares

It had been a few weeks since I had that strange encounter with that creep of a man. Jase and Darren had been taking care of me and I, them. Especially Darren, he is a complete weirdo! Every male specimen that he lays his eyes upon, he goes after.

"Darren!!" I scream out through-out the apartment. We both have nicely acquainted ourselves at Jase's apartment every Friday evening for dinners and movies.

"What!?" He screams back. "I am trying to shit here!" Too much information maybe? I finish plating up our dinner, giggling as he screamed proficiencies at me from the bathroom.

"Dinner is ready!" I scream back to him. I listen to the toilet flush, the bathroom open and slam close followed by an elephant stomping down the stairs. "Could you be more animalistic?!" I growled annoyed by the amount of noise emitting from him. Honestly, did he have to be THAT loud?

"Why are you both so loud?" Jase questions walking through the door. He is carrying multiple bags in hands filled to the brim with groceries. Woops, I think I may have used what we - I mean he... had left. No worries!

"Because we can't hear each other in the toilet if we talk normally, can we?!" Darren rolled his eyes while grabbing a plate of spaghetti. "Think about these things Jase." He sighed shaking his head. Both Jase and I watched him with humour filled eyes. Something is seriously wrong with that child. Majorly wrong.

I followed Darren to the dining table and dug into my own meal while Jase put all the bags down next to the island. "You really cannot answer things seriously, can you Darren?" Jase asked shaking his head and shovelling the spaghetti in his mouth. God damn animals.

"I think we should definitely watch a horror movie tonight." I stated placing my fork down beside my plate. I watched as Darren's eyes popped out of his head before he started viciously shaking it from side to side as in saying no. "Come on Dar. It will be heaps of fun! We need to have a little rush every now and again." I smiled trying to get him to agree with me.

"Last time you said 'It will be heats of fun!' I ended up balling my eyes out because Gus died!" He slammed his hand on the table in a tiny tantrum. "I will not be put through something like that again! You hear me?!" He yelled before stomping off towards his room, only to stop and bring himself back to where he was originally situated. "I forgot my dinner." He stated before repeating the stomping.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Jase gripping his stomach with his mouth wide open and then I heard a pig like snort which then set me off. I let out a loud 'ha' before continuing with a little giggle, it was definitely one of the funniest things that I have ever heard in my life. Not only was it out of the blue, but it was loud and very animalistic. Which is not a surprise! Eats like an animal, is an animal.

"Stop laughing at me!" Darren screamed from the floor above us. "I hate you all!" He continued. His comment was of something Jase and I were not surprised by. Not only does he constantly tell us when we make fun of us but he once surprised us with beautiful post-it notes that told us everything he disliked about us. Mine said "You're perfect and that is why I hate you", while Jase's said "I hate everything about you, you blasted boy. Not only is your hair ugly, but your nose is crooked which may be attractive to some but definitely not to me!" which was a lot funnier than my own, which was more of a compliment than an insult.

"We know you hate us! That is why we love you!" I yelled back to him still laughing at him. What a ridiculous boy. Honestly.

We finished off our dinners and washed them off. "So what horror movie are we watching?" Questioned Jase, while poking my sides as we wandered over to the lounge room.
