The week passes by pretty quickly, with Link always at my side, as well as Samus, Peach and especially Palutena.
Sometimes I would just sit in the corner of my room, lost into one of my books, and suddenly one of them would come and pick me up, and we would walk outside just to listen to the bird's singing.
I would have never thought I am so important to others, and that keeps me on track.
But the most beautiful thing is, when I wake up in a warm bed, which smells like my crush, and on top is a bouquet of flowers. I think these are one of the best days of my life...

As if it was a coincidence, Christmas Eve is right after the qualification, means, tomorrow. The smashers will hold a party "without" alcohol, and everyone gives each other presents.
For my father I've bought an old camera on a flea market in the near, since he loves photography. For Peach a gift card because she loves shopping (which is kinda obvious), I've knit a pillow for Palutena and for Samus I've got a CD. Well, and for Link I have no clue, since I never used to buy things for a guy in my age. I wish nothing, to be honest, though I know he's going to prepare something.

Plus, in the meantime, I've visited the girls room quite a lot, and met a bunch of other girls I never talked to. For example Rosalina, a relative of Peach. She's pretty intelligent and we talk a lot. And there is the Wii Fit Trainer, with who we sometimes do yoga. It's fun.

However, I'm sitting in the audience before the qualification, and all the other smashers are also here. Well, except for Yoshi and Robin, who are fighting right now.
"Are you nervous?", Link asks, striking my pent-up knuckles.
"Kind of. In contrast to you, huh?" He smirks. And man, I love it when he does that. In the short period of time we've trained, we became best friends. I look over to Sheik, so sits annoyed in his chair, crossing his arms and glaring at everyone.
"Maybe you should go over to... Him?", I suggest worried. It's like I've stolen Link from... Him.
"What?" He follows my gaze, and raises his eyebrows.

"He treats me strangely the last time, and I have no clue why. If he's got a problem with me, I won't do anything against it." He kisses my hair again, his hand resting at my neck. If I don't have an illusion, I seriously think he fell for me. And that puts the most turbulent butterflies in my gut, leaving a warm feeling.
Ike purses his lips as he sees us, but comes anyway.
"I just wanted to wish you good luck Zelda", he says, smiling half-hearted. I nod, and as he leaves, I grab Link's hand.

The battle is a little bit boring, and I almost drift into a nap, as suddenly a loud sound literally destroys our ears.
"And the winner is... ROBIN!"
Both winner and loser come out of the door, Lucina immediately pats Robin's shoulder.
"Well done", Marth says, shaking his hand. Peach hugs Yoshi, who looks slightly desperately.
"Don't worry, lil dinosaur. There is always a next time."
Yoshi goes to the lowest level circle, while Robin is going to fight again. He stays in the audience.

Some other smashers also fight, but I know barely of them. As Samus goes, her expression is concern. She has to battle against Lucario. And she won.
Next one is Palutena. She loses, but still keeps calm. Then comes Ike, who of course wins, and well, then, it's my turn.
"Princess Zelda and Princess Peach."
I look over surprised to the blonde, who has widened her eyes.
"You will win anyway, Zelda. Let's make it quick", she says, as we walk into the hall.
I nod agreeing.
Three... Two... One... GO!
Peach doesn't move. I take out my bow and arrow, aiming it at her.
The battle is, like we expected, pretty rapidly over.
"Nice", I comment giggling, as I have to shake her hand.
"Agreed."

Peach stays with several others in the lowest level, while I can sit next to Link again.
As it is his turn, he has to fight against Lucina, and I totally not like that. She is extremely good with the sword.
"Well then you don't have to fight against her", Link laughs, but I glare. "What do I get for winning?"
"Let's talk about that at the party", I answer, sticking out my tongue.
Link pinches my nose, before proudly stepping to the stage. I become nervous. If he doesn't win, I won't join him in the Smash contest. And that's what we've been training the whole time for.
