'I forgot how big this place is.' Elden just blows air from his nose and shakes his head. He still isn't happy about leaving me alone at the ball. Luckily for him, I stashed a few knifes with me. One in each boot, one secured in a holster on my right hip, and two between my breasts. The last poke me if I bend down or overly twist but that's okay. Percy had called a carriage to pick us up. Yes, Elden was coming. Well, not to the ball. He's gonna jump off at the entrance after I have been dropped off and stalk the ball from outside.
"Its time. Have fun _____, don't get in trouble." I snicker at him being worried. 'Remember that I can just bug you like this. If somethings wrong, you'll be first to know.' He grabs your shoulder and shakes it reassuringly. The carriage stops and the door opens to reveal the driver looking glum. I exit with the help of his hand. The cold isn't as bad as it once was. It felt like a cloudy spring day, except the snow falling. Maybe 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
"Bye, beautiful." I glance behind you and see Elden smiling big. 'Thanks.' I continue walking up to the entrance, which is booming with laughter and discussions. 'Too. Many. Stairs. Why did I wear heels?' Once at the entrance I lift my hand to knock.
"Welcome _____. I'm glad you made it." Sebastian leans down and secures my hand, gently pulling me in. I can't help the crimson blush that envelopes my face like a red butterfly sitting on my nose, spreading its wings as far as they can reach. I stare at the ground as he leads me to the bubbly crowd.
"I'll return shortly. The young master would prefer to meet in private." He smirks, bows, turns around, and disappears into the crowd. 'How's it on your end Elden?'
"Quite well actually. I was allowed in." I whip around and scowl at Elden, who is looking hella fine if you asked me. I give him a super-speed jab into his stomach while no one was watching. I couldn't help laughing at his smirk change into an 'O'. 'Muahahaha.'
"Since you're here, may you fetch us something to drink?" I say, trying to sound all fancy. Elden huffs.
"All they have is champagne."
"Your point?" 'Get it my servant!' I'm biting my lips together so I don't begin laughing.
"Yes, Your Highness." He bows and places his right hand on his propped up knee. I frown. 'That was below the belt.' He carries on to find one of those men carrying a platter of champagne. I look to the loud woman butchering a common Christmas carol. A few other people within the crowd also look displeased. I'm minding my own business when I feel a a tap on my shoulder.
"Ah, Elden. You're ba- ..." Sebastian is looking down at me smiling.
"Would you please follow me? Bocchan is ready." 'OMG. OMG. OH. MY. GOD! What do I do? I can't act natural. I'm so clumsy and dim-witted. This won't end well. Now my stomach has the rumblies, the rumblies that hands can only satisfy. Human flesh sounds pretty good, actually. NO. I will not become a ghoul. Waiiit. My eyes changed. Great. So, uuuuhh. Elden, where you at?'
"Let's go." Sebastian pulls me away from the noisy Brits and upstairs. Luckily his speed wasn't too hard to follow. We carry on through a few hallways, him still leading the way. Its quite dark up here now that I think about. A candle here and there clings to the wall.
We abruptly halt at an ornate set of doors.
Knock. Knock.
"Young master?" A book drops I guess from being startled. Ciel is heard scrambling to pick it up.
"Is she with you? If not, don't come in." Sebastian huffs and opens the door. My hand is left vacant as he strides in. Ciel is sitting behind his desk with his usual blank expression. Sebastian stands next to his desk as I stand in the middle of the office. 'This is reeeaally awkward. They should be the first to speak. Hopefully I don't fangirl.'
"______, correct?" I nod shyly. He clears his throat and begins tapping the desk, bored. 'He looks so cute! I wanna hug him, a great big 'ol bear hug.'
"I would like to inform you miss _____ that I am very capable of hearing your thoughts. By the way, Ciel probably needs one. Lizzy's kill him." Ciel glares at Sebastian and at my embarrassed face. He shakes his head, smirking slightly. Ciel clears his throat with force.
"Please, sit." I quickly plop down on the suede chair. I look up to Sebastian in hope of help but he just smiles. 'Elden, what do I do?'
"_______? Would you care to join me for a game of chess?" A tiny smirk dances on his thin lips. I can't play chess. It's not like I thought I would've needed it. Shit.
"Um, I guess so. Be warned, I have never mastered chess." Ciel rolls his eyes playfully. 'Hold in the fangirl.'
"Don't worry. Just one game." I exhale and nod, excepting defeat. Sebastian walks over to the door and opens it as Ciel gets up from his seat. I get up a bit too fast and about topple over the desk. 'Smooth.' I straighten out my dress carry on to the door behind Ciel. Ciel slows down to my speed and strides beside me.
At least your shoes aren't the only ones making noise. Ciel's and Sebastian's click softer than mine, not as feminine...well, not much can be said of Ciel's cute boots...or Sebastian's stripper heels. Sebastian chuckles. Oops. ._.'
Ciel brushes my hand as he stops at the game room. Sebastian strides forward and resets the chess board. We then take our seats and prepare for battle.
