Yet another inquiry.~

10 nights we fought, neither a winner.  Our strength was well matched and overflowing.

Just kidding.  That would be a better outcome to how it really did go down.  Let me elaborate.~

"Knight to 2c, which would result in a checkmate!" Ciel states excitedly. This was my third, frustrating, game with him. No breaks either. The games have only taken a little less than an hour but it feels like so much longer. 'It's not fair.'

"Ready for the next one? Playing with you is a nice reminder of simplicity. Not saying you're simple! Uum, Sebastian! Set it u-"

"Master, I hate to interrupt but there IS a Christmas ball ongoing downstairs. It seems rude not to visit the guests."  Ciel's awkward expression changes to one of anger. Anger of a child that is. His pale fingers join in fists that turn white (whit-er) around the knuckles. 'His ring. I almost forgot about it...hmm, it looks much clearer and grander in this lighting.' The yellowey lights shines through the refined stone, making every cut in it more remarkable. The deep blue had traces of black within it. There seemed to be an eerie glow that seeped from it. (Not to mention the tiny crack that can be seen if I zoom in to it closer.)

"When does the ball end?" He seems to have chilled out.

"At midnight, sir."

"Time?" Ciel being so sassy. Heh.

"9:45." Sebastian counters with a quick snap. Interesting choice. Ciel seems to take no damage, must be a water attack. Ciel stands up and places his hand before me. I quickly grab it and realise how cold his hands are. I seem to always be warm, how is he different? Maybe genetics are a bitch. Ciel leads me through the hallways with Sebastian tailing us. 'Elden, it seems we are coming back to the party. Where are you? I'll be at the stairs in a sec, I can hear the chatter below.'

'Damnit! I've been so worried. I couldn't find you upstairs. It's like you were hidden and no matter how close I got to your scent, I came no closer to you. By the way, the whole upstairs reeks of cats, could you smell that?'

'Yeah...I just never thought about it.' I glance behind to see Bassy smirking. I zoom on to his glove and see 3 long strands of black fur woven into the fabric of the gloves around the fingers. He scoffs and takes off his glove with his mouth, still making eye contact. He shakes the glove out and places it back on.

*STAB*

"Ow!" My boobie knife pricks the soft skin under the top of my corset. I quickly straighten up and continue walking, which sadly let the knife wiggle itself more into my corset (which is a simple white one that was once some woman's wedding corset, man I love the thrift shops here...except they aren't thrift shops)

"Are you ok ________?" Ciel worriedly questions. I nod my head.

"Might I suggest getting more comfortable before dancing downstairs?" *cough* Sebastian says in a condescending tone. Ciel stops walking at 2mph and looks between us.

"Who do you think you are talking to Sebastian? You're my butler. Butler are not to contradict their masters. Do I make myself clear?" Sebastian kept his smirk as Ciel look ready to pounce. I have to clear the air. 'Should I tell him???'

'Do it.' Elden chirps in, sounding like Palpatine. I squeeze Ciel's hand to direct his attention to me.

"He was addressing me Ciel. I have, well, a few knives stashed on me and one just poked me. Hence the yipe earlier. I'm sorry." He slides his fingers away from me and takes a step back.

"Why would you conceal knives to yourself? At a ball?"

"It was for Elden's sake. I never planned on using them unless it deemed necessary." Ciel nods as he thinks about what I had just said. He shakes his head with a thin smile and tangles his fingers with mine again.

"I was worried you planned on assassinating me. You seemed so nice but it wouldn't be the first time I was tricked. Well, we." I look backup to Sebastian in inquiry and he nods. Unsure of his thoughts, you tug slightly on Ciel.

"We should continue to the party." He strides on to the presumable stairs. The annoying singing and loud mouthed brits quiets as we continue down the stairs. 'Oh god. Must. Not. Trip.' I think as I glance between the stairs and the crowd, where's Elden? As we reach the last few stairs, Elden pushes through the front people of the crowd worried.

"Glad your okay." Elden whispers so others can't hear but Ciel, Sebastian, and I definitely could.

"Who is he?" Ciel whispers. Just as he finishes, I feel a gentle tap on my right shoulder. Sebastian is inches away from my face and has a more sinister smirk. 'Oh great.'

"If I recall correctly, you weren't to bring anyone. Those were the master's orders." I sheepishly grin.

"I couldn't convince him to stay away but, he told me someone let him in." I glance back at Elden as he approaches us.

"Hello Lord Phantomhive. Quite a ball you're throwing. Shame I wasn't formally invited. Speaking of which, tell Tanaka I said thank you." 'So Tanaka let you in...WAS HE IN CHIBI FORM?!?! I gotta look for him. I bet he looks so cute.'

"Ho ho ho." I hear in the kitchen. It's very muffled but it's there, reminding me to desert everyone.

"Well, in that case, welcome to the Phantomhive residence." Sebastian bows respectively and turns back to Ciel and I.

"Ciel?"

"Yes?"

"It would be smartest to greet the people attending the ball." Ciel frowns at Sebastian, then looks at me. He envelopes my other hand in his cold palm.

"I'm sorry that I must go but, make sure that you do not leave party until meeting me again. Can you promise that?"

"Uum, yeah. See you later." Elden's fingers grasp my waist and tug. I nod and follow Elden's pull.

Well, majority of the night is gone and not much has happened...great.
