I flew to a village. There were few people out. I sat down. Leo was silent. I was deep into thought when I heard a scream. I looked down the alley and saw a girl with two long pigtails in a green cloak. She was cornered by two Shades. Shades are defenders without powers or wings. So there pretty much just henchmen. They keep the people of the villages "safe". "I'm so done with bullies," I said. I rushed down the alley. I hit the first one in the face with my wing. They may not be steel tipped but there still strong as steel. The other chipped my shoulder with their dagger. Then was burned to a crisp with blue fire courtesy of Leo. Wow I thought They hit me pretty bad. My silver blood ran down my shoulder. The girl I expected to be gone instead she stood there with wonder and fear in her eyes. "Are you a defender," she asked. "No" I said. "Defiantly not!" Leo said. "Then what are you," she asked. "We're Protectors," We said at the same time. Suddenly I almost fell. The girl grabbed my hand and practically dragged me to a small house. The inside was nice. They had 4 buckets for water. They inside color was a grey. She ran and got her mom. Her mom was a doctor. She wrapped my arm in gauze after she stitched it. "Thank you," I said. "You're welcome," the girl said " My name is Angelica," "Mines Skye and this ones Leo." I replied. It was really early so the sky was still purple. It was a beautiful morning. I flew up and looked back. Leo was right behind me. I realized that Angelica and her mom would be rare. We were on our own.
