"I want this girl dead! Find her and kill her!" Theo yelled at Oswald.
"Why a exactly did she do, sir?" Oswald asked politely. No doubt he was talking about Evangeline. "I need a name, an address, more information than just you don't like her."
"Evangeline Nicholson." Theo growled. "Ill see her dead, a bullet through her head."
"Why am I killing her?" Penguin asked.
"Just kill her." Theo snapped.
"I like to know why I'm going to have yet another person's blood on my hands!" Oswald
Argued.
"It's nothing important." Theo sighed.
"I want to know!" Oswald stated.
"She wants to release an article. An article 'exposing' me. I got a draft of it. She's got every detail right! " Theo yelled.
"How'd she find out?" Oswald asked.
"I don't know! But she needs to go!" Theo growled before dismissing Oswald.
Oswald drove to the place where Evangeline told him she lived. He knocked and she let him in.
"Are you writing an article exposing Theo's plans?" Oswald asked irritably.
"Yes." Evangeline answered calmly.
"Why?!" Oswald yelled, "How can you be that stupid?! Stupid enough to release an article about a powerful billionaire.?"
"When I see something wrong, something like what he's doing, I won't just turn a blind eye. I'm a journalist. It's my job to show the public what they need to know." Evangeline responded in her normal voice, but still more careful since Oswald was angry. Theo wanted Oswald to kill her anyway.
"So what? You're exposing me too? Barbara? Theo's sister?" Oswald shouted.
"No! Only Theo! He's the only name mentioned in the article. I promise." Evangeline said, eyes pleading. "He's the only one being exposed." He sent me out to kill you, you know?" Oswald said suddenly polite again.
"Are you going to do it?" Evangeline asked taking a step back.
"I don't know. I mean, Theo has my mother chained to a bed, all by herself in the dark." Oswald answered darkly.
"So that's how he's pulling your strings?" Evangeline thought aloud, "I've been trying to figure that one out."
"Should I kill you or not?" Oswald said standing firmly. Evangeline reached her hand to his. Hers were small and dainty, soft. His were large, calluses, and seemed to have permanent bloodstains.
"You should kill me for your mother. You shouldn't kill me for yourself." She answered vaguely.
"For myself?" Penguin asked.
"You feel connected to me, you don't want me dead." Evangeline answered.
"Give me one good reason." Oswald said, his gave an inch from hers, and him staring down at her. Oswald wasn't used to looking down at people, he was short. But even Evangeline was small next to him. Evangeline kissed his mouth.
"One." Evangeline liked Oswald, a lot. She loved broken things, and Oswald was certainly broken. She loved things that made no sense whatsoever, and that was Oswald. She wanted Oswald. There was something there. And he actually cared about her. Oswald had never cared about anyone but his mother, but this Evangeline girl comes around and he had another person to give his heart to.
This part is short!!! I feel like I'm kind of rushing there romance. It's because I don't know how long this story'll be.
