~Third Person P.O.V~
Kaycee Jones climbed in her car, about to drive to the nearest store to pick up some groceries that her mom needed.
She went because she'd rather go run errands than stay home and study.
She turned on the radio, no songs she really liked played anymore. Well, she didn't like hardly any songs since Niall left.
In her eyes she lost him to music, she saw it as him choosing music over her. And that's when she began to fall under depression and major anxiety.
She climbed out of the car, wanting to finish this, but not wanting to do her work.
She walked into the store and picked up all the things her mom had asked for and went to the register.
The cashier scanned all the items, as Kaycee was waiting she noticed something, a magazine.
It was a teen magazine with celebrities all over it, but only one stuck out, Niall.
Kaycee swiped her mom's credit card to pay for the groceries, she wasn't paying attention, she kept looking at the magazine.
She hadn't seen Niall in what seemed forever.
Of course she saw magazines time to time, but she didn't notice them. She didn't go out much, she mad to admit she was a mess since he left.
He had changed.
He put his hair in a quiff and lost some weight. He dressed completely different and had braces to fix his crooked teeth.
The cashier must have saw her staring and spoke up.
"Like the magazine? I think One Direction are so hot. Especially Niall. I love his hair."
Kaycee looked up and saw the cashier.
She looked in her twenties, maybe a little younger. Her dark brown hair twisted into a ponytail while she was wearing her work attire.
Then Kaycee spoke for the first time in a long time to a person about her age, and she was a stranger.
"His hair isn't actually blonde, it used to be brown."
"Oh I know. I know all about him. I moved to here in Mullingar to try and find him."
Kaycee thought she was a little strange, even obsessed over Niall.
"Why do you like him so much? He's just a regular person."
"Have you seen him? Oh my word! His laugh, his smile, and have you seen him shirtless?! He's perfect! And he cares so much about his fans."
"He must not care about his fans if he left his biggest one."
Kaycee didn't mean a music fan, she meant her, a fan of him.
She always supported him no matter what. They had each other's backs. Wherever Niall went, so did Kaycee. She was like his own personal cheerleader.
"What? Who?"
"Me."
"What? Do you know him or something?!"
"I knew him, but not anymore. I'm not convinced he's the same person."
The cashier gave her a shocked look and was about to speak when Kaycee left.
Kaycee grabbed the groceries and left, leaving a very shocked and confused cashier.
Kaycee talked to some people, but hardly ever to strangers. She shocked herself.
On the way back she played some music on the radio when a song that grabbed her attention came on.
"Down to Earth
Keep 'em falling when I know it hurts
Going faster than a million miles an hour
Trying to catch my breath some way, somehowDown to Earth
It's like I'm frozen, but the world still turns
Stuck in motion, and the wheels keep spinning 'round
Moving in reverse with no way outAnd now I'm one step closer to being two steps far from you
When everybody wants you
Everybody wants youHow many nights does it take to count the stars?
That's the time it would take to fix my heart
Oh, baby, I was there for you
All I ever wanted was the truth, yeah, yeah
How many nights have you wished someone would stay?
Lie awake only hoping they're okay
I never counted all of mine
If I tried, I know it would feel like infinity
Infinity, infinity, yeah
InfinityEyes can't shine
Unless there's something burning bright behind
Since you went away, there's nothing left in mine
I feel myself running out of timeAnd now I'm one step closer to being two steps far from you
When everybody wants you
Everybody wants youHow many nights does it take to count the stars?
That's the time it would take to fix my heart
Oh, baby, I was there for you
All I ever wanted was the truth, yeah, yeah
How many nights have you wished someone would stay?
Lie awake only hoping they're okay
I never counted all of mine
If I tried, I know it would feel like infinity
Infinity, infinity, yeah
Infinity, infinity, infinityHow many nights does it take to count the stars?
That's the time it would take to fix my heart
Oh, baby, I was there for you
All I ever wanted was the truth, yeah, yeah
How many nights have you wished someone would stay?
Lie awake only hoping they're okay
I never counted all of mine
If I tried, I know it would feel like infinity
Infinity, infinity, yeah
Infinity"She didn't know it was One Direction at the time. She didn't know who it was, until she heard that voice. Niall.
It was the voice she heard him sing that night he showed her his talents, just a little deeper now.
She found a song she liked, and she felt guilty for it.
She didn't want to like music.
"It took you away from Niall," she told herself.
"Your life doesn't revolve around Niall. You can like whatever you want, don't let him control you," she thought.
She didn't know which was right, all she knew was that she missed Niall.
Kaycee concentrated on the road in front of her. This was going to be a long day.
She didn't feel like doing her homework, when she got home she knew she would open her diary and read about her first friend here in Mullingar.
