~Third Person P.O.V~

Kaycee took the groceries from the store and took them inside.

She was going to tell her mom she was gone when she heard her voice, talking into a phone.

"Yes that'd be wonderful. She hasn't gone outside in so long. She hasn't even acted like a normal person in years!"

"Why is she talking about me?" Kaycee wondered.

"No she doesn't know. In fact, she's at the store right now picking up groceries. I'm trying to get her to get out of the house. She's twenty-one years old for crying out loud!"

"She's using me," Kaycee thought.

Kaycee didn't even put the groceries up, she left them by the door, except the things that needed to be kept in the refrigerator.

She ran into her room and slammed the door shut and locked it.

She was angry that her mom was saying these things and that Niall wasn't here to comfort her.

She opened her diary to page three.

~14 year old Kaycee's P.O.V~

It's official we moved in! I'm now Niall's new neighbor!

I've went over to his house a lot lately, but he hasn't been to mine. Jackson will probably think he's my boyfriend!

I went over to the fence separating mine and Niall's house and did our secret knock.

Niall's room was close to the fence so he almost immediately came over.

"California!"

"Nialler!"

"I told you I don't like that name!" Niall pouted.

"Well I'm not crazy about you calling me California, so we're even."

"Fine, but I have news!"

"What is it?"

"I have to tell you inside, someone might hear outside. Can we go in your house?"

I gulped.

It wasn't like we were going to do "anything", but it just seemed weird.

"Sure," I said nervously.

I was always scared of doing small things, I had anxiety in me.

We stepped into my house and made our way to my room.

"Mom, Niall is here!" I shouted.

"Who's Niall?" Asked Jackson.

Of course.

"My friend and our neighbor," I said, trying not to freak out.

"Hi," said Niall, smiling at little 9 year old Jackson.

"Oooh, Kaycee has a crush!"

I blushed really badly, I don't even know why.

"Jackson, leave them alone! Come help me do this laundry please," yelled my mom.

Jackson stuck his tongue out at us and ran to assist my mom.

Me and Niall walked down my hallway to the second room on the left.

"Here's my room," I told Niall.
