Chapter 16: Truth Or Dare?

Nina's POV
We called a taxi van to come get us. "Four Seasons please. And step on it. We have a lot to do," Amber told the cab driver. "Wait, hold on a second Amber. Four Seasons? How much money is your dad paying for this?" Patricia asked. "I don't know. He deals with the money, I deal with the spending," Amber says, carefree. A few minutes later, we arrive. "Ok, so I rented the entire penthouse floor. Technically it's one room, but there are like different sections that we can stay in. Groups are: Fabian and Nina, Eddie and Patricia, Me, and Alphie, and KT you get the room to yourself," Amber said. "Oh No! Me in a room with a mini bar, room service, wifi, a plasma tv, a king bed, and Netflix? What ever shall I do?" KT said sarcastically. We all laughed our heads off. I don't know why though. Probably jet leg or something. "Let's all take a nap. We can have a bonfire later tonight," Amber stated. We all nodded in agreement and went to our
rooms.
2 Hours Later
"Wake Up!" Patricia says on the intercom we have built into the room.
I woke up, snuggled up with Fabian.
"Morning Beautiful," Fabian said in a sleepy voice, which in my opinion, is the sexiest thing a boy can do. I blush. "After all this time, I still blush when you give me compliments," I say under my breath. Fabian hears and kisses me on the cheek. Amber storms in and grabs my hand and yanks me out of bed. "Amber! What's going on?" I yell.
She doesn't reply and continues dragging me down the hall, back to her room.
"Amber, what are you doing?" I say as we arrive at her room.
As we get there, I see all the girls are here.
"What's going on?" I ask.
"We're not having a bonfire. We have a little surprise for you," KT said.
Then Amber runs up to me and handcuffs me and Patricia blindfolds me.
"I give up. You guys are insane," I said.
"Thank You!" They all said in unison.
1 Hour Later
"Ok, now we're going to take off your blindfold but your not allowed to look till we do your eye makeup," Amber said.
I nod in agreement.
15 minutes later they cover my eyes and put me in a dress.
Then they turn me around.
"You can look now," Amber says.
I open my eyes and I'm just in awe of what they've done. They curled my hair and pinned pieces back so they frame my face. They put a gentle eyeshadow on and bold mascara and winged eyeliner. They put a gentle pink lipstick on. The dress is ballgown style. It's a one shoulders dress and the shoulder is covered in crystals. The top is dark red and the tool is red fading to white, with white showing just at the edge. I'm wearing 4 inch heels that are barely visible under the dress, but they have a white sparkly base and hints of silver through out them.
"I love it. I love you guys so much for doing this, but why did you do this?" I ask. "No time for questions. The limos is here," Amber states and rushes out the door, down the private elevator, and out the front door. As she pushes me in the limo, her last words are, "Remember, start with truth, and then pick dare."
Before I get a chance to ask her what she means, the door is closed and the limo is on its way to wherever we're going. "Excuse me, driver?" I ask the driver. "Yes?" He said and lowered down the screen, revealing it was Eddie. "Eddie? Wha-t? I mean? What's going on?" I ask. "Can't tell. But you'll find out soon enough," Eddie said. About 10 minutes later, we arrive at our destination. Eddie comes around to open the door for me, and I get out to reveal were at the Eiffel Tower. Before I can ask what we're doing here, someone's pulling me away, yet again. As in being dragged away, Eddie yells, "Pick truth first, then dare." What could that mean and why does everybody keep saying that. I look to see who's dragging me away, and I see Alphie. "Oh hey Alphie. Any chance you'll tell me what's going on?" I asked him. "I can't but I can tell you is that pick tru-" Alphie began to say. "I remember, pick truth first then dare," I said and followed him up to the elevator. As the doors are about to close, he steps out and yells, "GOOD LUCK! PICK TRUTH FIRST THEN PICK DARE. DECK 27." I assume deck 27 is when I'm supposed to get out. So I wait for what seems like forever until I finally get to deck 27. I step out and go over to look out at the beautiful skyline. I've been pulled around so much I didn't even realize that it was close to 10:00. "It's 10:00. You have 5 minutes and then I want to here a pin drop," I hear someone say. I turn around and see Fabian. "Finally someone who can tell me what's going on," I said. "I can. But I want to play a game. Truth or Dare?" He asks me. Instead of resisting, I just give in because it's been a long night. "Truth. Or so I've been told to do," I relply cheekily. "Do you love me?" He asks. "More than anything. More then any distance could measure. More than anyone could ever believe or understand," I reply with no thought. I don't need any. "Now for your dare. Close your eyes, count to three then open them," he said, and I can see the nervousness in his eyes. I close my eyes and when I open them, he's on one knee, with a princess cut diamond in a pandora box in his hand. "Nina Martin, your my chosen one. Your the only person who's ever made me laugh and smile and cry so much. Your the only one who's ever made me want something so much. The only person who can hurt me so easily, but somehow manages to make me feel so much love. Nina Martin I love you and I have since that first kiss at prom. Will you marry me, and make me the only person to call you mine?" He said, tears welling up in his eyes. "Fabian Rutter, if I'm your chosen one, then I can't even explain what you are to me. Yes. I've never been more sure of anything in my life." I say, full on balling, mentally thanking Amber for applying waterproof makeup. Then I ran up to him and kissed him. And this wasn't just any kiss, it was our first kiss as an engaged couple. He slipped the ring on to my finger and I noticed the engraving on the inside. It said, "My Chosen One. 06/23/12" That was the date of our first kiss. The start of Fabina as Amber would say.
