"I swear all you do it work!" I cried to my husband Robert.
"I have to put food on the table Hudson!" Robert argued back.
"We are doing perfectly fine, you don't have to do nine hours of overtime!" I threw my hands into the air and then let them fall to my sides.
"I'd rather stay at work for nine more hours than come home to a boring chit like you!" Roberts brows furrowed. I practically marched into our modern styled kitchen and grabbed my purse and my leather suitcases.
"Where the hell are you going?" Robert questioned angrily. I stomped to the front doors
"I'm done Robert! All we do is fight! The divorce papers will be send over as soon as I fill the damn things out!" I opened the door and walked out not even bothered to close it.
I threw all my luggage into the back seat and hopped into the driver side. I whipped it out of our driveway into Utter Drive. My middle finger absentmindedly perked up and flew out the window so it was pointed at Robert.
"God Dammit Hudson! What hell did you just do?!" I yelled at myself and hit the steering wheel with the palm of my hand. I was still in my nightgown... Shit!
I continued to drive till I got to my favorite bar of all time! Luck's Golden Bar & Grill. The best beer in town. I came here many nights that Robert was away at "work". Of course I knew the truth- that Robert was cheating on me. He would buy things with our money from the joined savings account. I would see text messages. At first I was confused and never brought the topic of him cheating up into our daily conversations, but then i realized that I shouldn't have to put myself through all this drama.
As I pulled in between two white lines I noticed that only a few people were in the bar for it being a Friday night. I had figured it be packed but once again I was proven wrong. My feet took me inside as if they knew exactly where I wanted to be. I ordered my regular, a dry apple martini, and sat down beside some bloke. Externally the man seemed very friendly and I immediately decided that I needed a new friend.
"Ello there what's your name?" I friendly offered a greeting but was declined with a scoff.
"Fine be that way, I'm not a prostitute by the way. I just left my husband." I admitted openly. The man chuckled and raised a eyebrow at me.
"You're quite... open?" The man grinned but still declined eye contact. His lack of eye contact gave me the perfect cover to examine his appearance. His hair had light streaks of grey, quite similar to mine, but mine hair probably wasn't as bad as his. He wore a black suit with a navy blue tie. I know that I've seen this man before but where?
"My names Hudson by the way. Hudson Greyhound." I offered my right hand out and surprisingly the man took it into his own and shook gently but firmly.
" Alan, Alan Rickman. I quite surprised you did not know that, however it is refreshing to find someone who isn't my stalker." Alan smirked and went back to sipping a pint of beer. At this time my martini came and I graciously nodded at the bartender.
"Ah Yes, I know who you are. You were in that god awful movie... What was it called... Oh yes Love Actually I believe!" I narrowed my eyes and laughed. He turned in his chair to look at me straight on.
"You didn't like Love Actually? I was led to believe that all humans of the female sex fell head-over-heels for any romantic movie?" Alan asked. I tilted my head slightly and searched my head for a answer.
"Ok so it wasn't horrible but it was a waste of time. Yes the movie did show the different types of love, but not everyone is meant to find love." I had barely drank half of the martini and my head was already pounding from the alcohol.
