After a breakfast of pancakes, Lucy Carlyle sat down on the old sofa, a drawing pad in one hand, a vanilla coke in the other, and put on her favourite film (pitch perfect) and started drawing her new family, Lockwood, George, the ghost jar and Lockwood's sister, who was chained up in the mysterious room. George plopped down next to her, and started groaning at the choice of film. "not this again"he grumbled. The Lockwood burst in, and started singing along with the film. George face palmed and Lucy laughed. The next hour was three friends singing there asses off to pitch perfect. They got to the final performance, until the phone rang. George picked it up, just as Lockwood was singing (badly) to ' price tag'.

the person on the line murmured to George, "is this a bad time?" Lucy blushed. This would be embarrassing. This wasn't the first person who had been put off by Lockwood's singing. After a while, and the film had ended, George got off the phone, pushed up his glasses and gulped. Face rapidly paling, he whispered "that was Barnes. He wants us to investigate john carver...'

'wait' Lucy said 'didn't he die on our carpet?'
" no Luce that was jack carver"
"My bad"

"So," Lockwood asked"who is John carver?"
"Jack carvers potential great great grandad. He was a notorious murderer, and was apparently killed when a bunch of cannibals tore out his eyes and ate him alive."
"Anything more we should know?"
"On yeah," George paled even more "apparently it permanently ghostlocked quipps. He's festering in hospital now."

On, Lucy thought to herself, I bet Barnes didn't give us a choice, just as George said the same thing. Tonight was going to be fun.
