Ellie slammed the door, panting, sweat pouring down her face like s fountain. Her throat was slowly filling up with mucus, and she was pretty sure she smelt like a pig, but she sure as hell wasn't going to let George and flo know that. Speaking of flo, she shoved an iron frame chair in front of the door and knelt by the other girls feet. The blood trickled down her leg like lava down a volcano. The moans of the ghosts outside weren't helping. She was getting paler and paler by the second. George stayed by her side, constantly muttering that she was going to be OK. Ellie sighed. How did this happen.
They had managed to track Lockwood to the disused town hall. A spooky old record from ww2 started playing, when Flo dropped to the ground like stone, clutching her ears saying the laughter was too loud. Ellie just saw the spectre float across the ceiling, when the chandelier fell, spearing flo in the leg. Then the ghosts came thick and heavy, swarming across the room, like a thousand vultures swarming a rotting carcass. They just about bundled into the small broom cupboard. And now things were getting worse.
George was just confused. A girl calls up, saying she's found Lockwood who is now escaped and in the south east of England. Now this 'Ellie' was pacing the room, muttering "why ant man, why,?" While flo lied in a pool of her own blood. George snapped, and screamed at her "TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON OR I WILL PERSONALLY LOCK YOU OUT OF HERE WITH THE GHOSTS," he took a deep breath, calmed down and carried on. "Who is ant man and why do you act like you know Lockwood?"
Ellie looked down at a silver chain hanging around her neck and began. "Lockwood and I, or ant as he used to like to be called is my cousin. We used to call him ant man because he used to think that he was named after an ant. He used to live down here with us but moved up to London with Jessica and his parents. Though we spent a lot of time together when his family were travelling. I always got along with him more than jess. Anyway, when his parents you know.... died he became distant. I tried to keep in touch but he just pushed me away. After I heard about coombe Cary I was glad he was happy. But when he randomly called me saying he was coming down, I didn't expect the hobo I saw, so yeah I kind of knocked him out. When he woke up I said I was going to call for pizza, but called you instead. Then in the thirty seconds that you had arrived he was gone. But what doesn't get me is that he would lead us here. If he didn't want to be followed he wouldn't of led us here. Oh God. I kind of have the same sight of Lockwood and just saying there is one in here. On no.... How?" George turned round to see Ellie crumple as Lockwood slashed through a silvery ghost striking resemblance to the both of them and hit her on the back of the head. His voice was back to its articulate self, but thicker and slightly choked. "That's how."
