As many of us moonwalkers may know Michael did not bleach his skin. He had a skin disease called vitiligo which creates white patches on his dark skin. He used make up to even out his skin.
( ps : if you look closely at Michaels feet at the beginning of the short film remember the time you will see that his feet are darker than the rest of the visible parts of him )
