"They say if you dream a thing more than once, it's sure to come true." -Aurora

"I don't understand." I said removing my hands from the intertwined position Prince Josh had them in. "How am I a princess? I can't be...I've never been anything special ever." I said whispering the last part more to myself than to him.

"You are a princess, there's a ball tonight in your honor."

"My honor?" I questioned, I've barely went to parties much less had one thrown for me, and a royal one at that.

"Yes, princess. We were to be married but I didn't want you to be forced into anything so I asked my parents to give us time to get to know each other," Prince Josh explained. "So you can truly love me and this union will not be just for our kingdoms, but for us also." He said giving me an extremely charming smile that made my knees wobble... or maybe that was just the fact that he just told me we were GETTING MARRIED!

"Umm, love?" I shifted uncomfortably on my feet.

"Yes, princess. I love you, and I want you to love me on your terms.

I looked at the floor. "I don't think I can, I don't even know you." I looked in his eyes as the deep blue turned into a light shade of gray. "I'm sorry." I whispered.

"But you do know me, you just have to give me a chance." He said smiling, despite the fact that I just turned him down.

"But this is just a dream... it's far from real. So this whole ball, and marriage, and kingdom thing it's not real, so just stop talking about it."

He smirks as he begins to fade away. "If I'm a dream, then consider me practice, but give him a chance."

I sat up in bed in a cold sweat, confused.

Turning to my left I noticed that Joshua was gone. I picked up my charging phone from the nightstand adjacent to the bed.

2:20 a.m.

I groaned and rolled my eyes briefly before throwing the covers off my body.

I walked out of Joshua's room, practically dragging myself to the kitchen.

I retrieved a bottle of water from the pack on the floor and turned back towards the room. As I turned the door handle I heard a low groan. I spun around and went to investigate.

Don't die now, your prince wouldn't be too happy about that. I rolled my eyes at my idiotic thought.

When I reached the living room I released a sigh of relief and sadness. It was just Joshua... asleep.... on the couch. I frowned.

If he was uncomfortable he could've told me, I would've understood, after all we're not nine anymore, I wouldn't assume we would fit in the same bed.

I let out another sigh and turned to leave.

"No," Confused, I turned and looked at Joshua.

"Don't do this to me, please." Joshua whimpered shifting slightly.
