Hi Guys, so I decided to upload this while I'm working on the second chapter. Let me know what you think of it.
ASHLEE
The 30th precinct was the usual bustle of activity. The smell of coffee and nerves was strong throughout the building. Interviews being conducted, cases being closed, all normal activity.
“Hey!” A voice shouted. There was a scrabble of activity as a man, short and heavyset burst out of an interview room.
“Carl, up ahead!” the voice shouted and with a lazy leg sweep, the man tumbled.
“Always get the good ones, right Ash?” Carl said rhetorically
“Yeah” Ash replied after reading the man his rights.
“Peazer, Payne”
Two heads turned: a beautiful brunette with curly hair and a toned brunette with puppy brown eyes.
“Yes chief?” Liam Payne asked nervously
“You heard about the new addition to your department?”
“Yes chief,” Danielle said, “We’ve got a meeting soon”
“Alright then, be good to her she was in Douglas’ department”

The meeting was set up and everyone was there. A soft knock sounded and after a quiet “Come in” from Harry who was leading the meeting, a head poked inside the room. A black, averaged height girl about 20 nervously walked inside. She had a box of her belongings.
“Hi” She said quietly
“Hiya” Louis replied cheerfully and loudly
After that there was an awkward silence.
“Why are you here?” Ed asked
“Um, I’m the new addition, um yeah”
“Follow me, I’ll show you were to put your stuff down” Niall said. The girl followed Niall and they both returned a few minutes later. Niall sat down and the girl who no one yet knew her name waited back shyly.
“A seat’s here” Niall said patting the seat next to him.
Then the meeting continued. They were just starting to finish up a drug bust homicide were there were no witnesses. After running through the case, Harry asked
“Any ideas, thoughts or queries”
“Yeah, better service cause you hotel sucks Styles” Louis called out laughing
“Shut up dickhead” Harry said fondly
After that laugh, everyone began to talk and offer ideas all except the new girl who didn’t even bother to take any notes.
“Any suggestions new girl?” Louis asked in a voice that cut through the noise sharp and clear. Everyone turned to look at the new girl who in turn fidgeted.
“No sorry”
“Of course not,’ cause you didn’t even take note of anything”
“Yeah not really” she said obviously uncomfortable with the added attention.
“Do you even understand the basics of what we’re going through?” Louis asked still pressing the matter.
“Lou” Eleanor said warningly
