Hey guys, back again. I was trying to update every Friday but it's summer and I'm lazy so yea

Chapter 3!! I t might seem a bit rushed (sorry)

A few weeks passed by and Bonnie was slowly adjusting to life in the precinct. Every evening, she either took martial arts class with Danielle or practiced in the shooting range with Liam. She started working more one on one with Niall so they could find each other’s strengths and weaknesses. All of this started a routine that everyone soon grew accustomed to and the warehouse got blown up.

At the crime scene, it looked liked total chaos however to all the cops it was an ordered proceeding. At the center of the proceeding were two cops : ,Harry Styles head of bombing section and Cher Lloyd ,head of the drug unit. They were both barking orders to the lesser ranking members of their units as well as conducting their own research. The homicide unit which included Niall, Liam, Danielle and Bonnie walked up to them, avoiding marking, police tape and the other officers conducting business.

Technically Homicide weren’t supposed to be at the crime scene yet because no deaths had been called in, however as the case was currently a bomb/drug investigation, homicide was kept on the backburner. Danielle walked forward and talked to Cher and Harry, while Liam explained more about the case so far. After everyone had joined up, they searched the floors one by one and one every floor there were residual shadows of three dead bodies splashed against the walls. At this point the group spilt, each one gathering DNA and ashes from the scene for later cross-examination. Later, after another thorough search, the homicide unit left for the station. Once there, everyone spilt up to do the jobs assigned to them.

Bonnie left to start writing up a case file describing all the events of the case. Since she was now starting, it had been agreed that she would do file work, work on the crime scene so she could learn the practicalities of investigation, as well as background checks and research.

It was nearing towards the end of the shift and Bonnie squirmed in her office chair. Well it wasn’t really just her office because she shared it with Niall but it was more than she expected to have. Bonnie was chewing on yet another snack- this one was fruit snacks because after the last two packs of Kit Kats, Bonnie had grown tired of chocolate temporarily. Bonnie sighed flipping through the reports once again finding nothing new. She had reviewed the reports so much, she could now quote pieces of evidence.

A cup of hot chocolate appeared in front her face. Bonnie looked up to see Niall smiling over her desk

“Thanks” she said grabbing the cup eagerly even though it was only 5.

“What’d you get so far from the case and the filing you did?” Niall asked grabbing the visitor chair and dragging it around the table to face her.

Bonnie tried to gather her thoughts. Spending most of the day going formulating countless files in the soft but now uncomfortable chair had scrambled her brain. Niall’s close distance did nothing to help, in a sense it added more pressure.

“Ah,” Bonnie said sighing, “I got nothing”

Niall raised his eyebrows and Bonnie got a sudden impulse to defend herself

“Not that I don’t have anything, it’s just I’ve been going over the files and making sub files and POI (Person of interest) files and I’ve been stuck in this chair-“

“Then get up and stretch, take a break” Niall said calmly “We asked you to help with  the case not work yourself into information overload”

Bonnie laughed weakly. “In that case, see ya!” before hurriedly running to the vending machines.

When Bonnie came back, Niall was in his little visitor chair looking over her numerous files, sub files and all.

“If you need help figuring out the files, I can-”

Niall made a don’t bother noise in his throat. “I figured it out after all your organizational system is good, really good”

Bonnie smiled “Thanks”

“So are some of your ideas, I’m beginning to see some things I didn’t even consider. Do you mind if I copy these and go over them tonight?”

Bonnie shook her head, voices of doubt beginning to sound in her ears. “Not really but”

“And go down to administrations and copy some for the meeting tomorrow. By then we should have all the DNA and everything back so that we know where to move from here and your ideas are really good”

“Thanks” Bonnie said once again, a fake smile on her face as Niall rushed out the office leaving Bonnie to wonder if she had just gotten herself played.
