8. Rats can grow to be the size of cats but this is usually when they're wild, a feral rat the size of a large cat was found in Iceland. Domestic rats are able to grow perhaps the size of a chihuahua.
9. In Africa there is a temple where rats are considered sacred, the hundreds of rats live here happily and if an albino or white rat is seen here it's considered to bring good fortune.
10. I swear this is my last fact about rats, I just love them so much though! Anyways rats are very clean despite the common myth about them being disgusting. As well as being clean rats are super intelligent, it's possible to train them to come to there name and walk on a leash.
11. Capybaras are the world's largest known rodents, they can grow to be the size of sheep and live just about all their lives in water so much in fact that when they were first discovered it was thought that they were a fish. This is also the cause for one of their nicknames, Water Pig.
12. Melanism is the opposite of albinism, melanistic animals are all black. Melanistic Guinea Pigs are very rare.
13. Polar bears have clear hollow fur while their skin is black.
