When I woke up Maks was still sound asleep and it was late in the morning so I nudged him.

"Goodmorning." He said with sleepy eyes.

"Have a good sleep?" I said trying not to laugh.

Maks nodded and sat up stretching his manly muscles.

"You were having a nightmare, or something last night and I calmed you down, you were completely out of it though." He laughed "I should be asking you how you slept.."

He is so caring. I am a very lucky girl. Whatever happens between Artem and I, it feels good knowing I'll always have at least one person in my corner.

I got changed and we both took a taxi to his place and while he did his own thing for the rest of the morning I walked to the dance studio, a walk I have taken many times, and called Artem. I breathed in a few gulps of fresh air and pulled out my phone.

"Hello?" He answered sounding like I woke him up.

"Artem." I said "it's me, Emma."

"Hi, hey sorry, I just woke up, and I should probably call you right back."

I heard a giggle coming from next to him and I knew that Kara and him had slept together last night. It was only an assumption considering they could have just been sleeping next to each other as Maks and I did last night.

"Artem, wait," I said "did you sleep with her? Are you guys back together."

He was silent and then answered with the most sincere voice.

"No. I tried telling you yesterday. There is nothing between us anymore, what happened was an honest mistake. She wanted to see if there was any spark between us or if it truly was destined for me and you to be together. We aren't together, I love you and she knows that. And then I just couldn't help myself last night before our dance." He struggled to find the right words to jumble together in his irresistible accent. "I had to feel your lips brush against mine and the static.." He trailed off

"So she's.."

"She stayed here last night because she had no place to go. Would you like to talk to her she feels bad that you were so upset."

"No." I said "I believe you, I truly love you too Artem and I am too bull-headed sometimes, it was wrong of me to accuse you of sleeping together, I am sorry."

"I just want to know, as I said the other night, that you haven't given up on me." He was still unsure if I trusted him the way he trusts me.

"I haven't." I teared up. "I love you with all of my heart, since I was 14, I have loved you."

"I love you too, Emma." He said

After hanging up from our conversation, we were in a better place and I promised him that he had all of my trust and that he will for the rest of our lives.

Instead of visiting Tony, I walked to Central Park and sat there for a few hours, I couldn't get myself to go to the studio. Although I really wanted to be back there, I really wanted some alone time in my favorite city.

About 2 hours later Maks realized that I hadn't ever showed up at the dance studio and he got worried and I told him where I was. He was smiling from ear to ear with excitement for me.

"Artem has always been cocky and flirtatious and the biggest idiot, I didn't understand your feelings for him then and still I don't to this day." Maks sat next to me on the bench watching the water flow from the fountain. "But I have respect for him, and know that once all this drama is over and you two are together, great things will happen."

I gave Maks a hug.

"I never did find anyone for you to have dinner with tonight." He said "I planned on taking you out myself to give you the best date of your life, but I've been feeling guilty about Peta." He said  "all this trying to make you feel better and she is probably all alone right now."

"I am sorry that I put you in this situation where you make yourself care about me so much, I think it's time we go back to LA. These few hours of alone time have been beneficial, and all the time spent with you has lifted my spirits. I thank you for coming back with me."

"Sure." He said "we can go back. But first, I think someone is waiting to see you."

I knew he was referring to his best friend Tony. He is a ray of sunshine, he is 15 years older than me and feels like a father figure, he's been a legend since I was a child aspiring to be able to dance with him some day.

Maks and I walked to the dance studio.

When I saw Tony I jumped in his arms and he twirled me around.

"I saw the show last night, I'm very proud of the dances, it is as if it is 2005 all over again, Artem Chigvintsev and Emma Scott in their prime."

"Thank you." I acted cheerful "I hope for next week to be even better, we have to dance the Paso Doble and it's one of Artem's specialties."

"He always was arrogant enough to perform that dance." Tony laughed.

"Yes indeed." Maks said "I always took that dance too lightly, and he has what it takes to act like an angry Latin bull fighter."

After a few hours of hanging with Tony in the studio and watching one of his dance classes, Maks and I got our things packed up and said goodbye to our home anxious to get back to the loves of our lives.
