It's weird how much one person can distract you from the world. Chuck's constant chatting, never ending gossip about boys I didn't even know. This boy did not shut up. Not like it was a bad thing, it distracted me from the void of me. Of my mind and soul. Of how my brain seemed to be, not broken but oh-what's the word? Lost. As my mind was a constant swirling mess of thoughts and feelings that I couldn't even compose if I tried.

Yeah, one person can distract you.

My fingers slid over the envelope in my back pocket. There had to be some way to reach him, but how? How would I even begin to do that?

"What do you think of it?" Chuck asked, his round, dark eyes fixating on me. His mouth wide as he waiting my reply.

"Sounds great Chuck?" I said, although I tried my hardest to phrase it as a statement, I heard my voice raise at the end causing me to facepalm.

"Just because you're a girl, doesn't mean you can't be a Slinthead," He mumbled, scratching the back of his head. Sighing heavily. He shuffled closer to me, not too close, there was still a feet between us. "What's bothering you Greenie?"

"We're trapped in the middle of a giant maze, with no memories and I can't go anywhere without a ton of guys staring at me and you want to know what's bothering me?" I muttered, before rubbing my eyes. Pulling away, my eyes rose to him, expecting him to be offended by my outburst but instead he just sat there looking at me.

"Done?" I nodded. "Good. Holy klunk, how has Newt and Alby dealt with two years of Greenies? I can't even deal with a single day." Rolling my eyes, I fought back a smile. The kid got me there. "Your name comes soon, apparently hitting yourself on the head helps." He picks up a heavy rock, swinging it in his hands.

"I'm good Chucky, but thanks."

"I'm never gonna he able to hit anyone," he muttered, throwing the rock dramatically over his shoulder. "Ever again."

A barking laugh escaped my mouth that shocked even me, as he said that. "I'm not even going to ask." He smiled, as I continued laughing.

"Maybe one day."

"One day."

A loud whistle echoed through the air, looking up I hoped it was Newt but instead it was another guy. He was Asian, with black hair and he was breathing heavily. He pointed at me, giving me a salute.

"Oh shuck!" He nodded. "Thought Newtie was pulling my leg when he said a girl came up." The boy reached out, shaking my hand. "Minho, nice to meet you."

"Thanks. Sorry, I don't know my-."

"Name, yeah I got filled in by our brave leaders."

"You guys seem to know more about me than I do..."

"It's the shucking worst, huh?" he gave me a nod. "Right, I'm off. See you later Greenie."

"What's up with this whole Greenie thing?" I asked, turning to Chuck.

"Not a clue. Liam said once that it was because Andrew, you haven't met him yet, he was like fifth up. Apparently he was sick everywhere and his face was bright green. No one really knows though, there are a million stories why, but that's just my person favourite. Mainly because he's a shank."

The ground shook, I let out a small cry, my head whipping back. My eyes lingering on the walls behind me. Placing my hands on my ears I whimpered.

He smiled. "Calm down Greenie. It's just the doors shutting..." He laughed, slapping his arm. "You should have seen your face, oh it was funny!"
