The music was pounding, food was being eaten, and people were having a great time. It was my favorite day all year, my birthday. Only this year was different because I was turning 16. I was up stair's getting ready when my best friend, Lacy, walked in.
" Em, are you almost ready?"
"Yes, I just finished putting on my makeup. Let's go!" I said.
So we walked out together, towards the grand staircase.
"Let's do this!" I said.
I came out on the top step. Then the lights went dim and the spot light came down on me. Then with a nod from Lacy , I started to gracefully walk down the stair's. When I got down from the last step someone handed me a microphone. Then, with excitement I said,
"Let the party begin!"
