Seiville Garde was at peace for the first time since the war- or since that night Sylar has decided to leave for the Orbs. Satia and Aiden squinted through the dark of the night as they stood separately behind trees that grew abundantly inside the parameters of the Tower in which they have been prisoners just an hour ago when they decided to break out and set their plans into motion. Taraha couldn’t manage to walk let alone move because of the absence of water. Security would have been tighter while Sylar’s enjoying the hunt for the Orbs but the Amaranths chose to slack off while their master is gone. With this, every task was too easy to execute and as far as they can see, the mission is yet a success. But their aims are far from complete. The goal of releasing the seal around the Crystals that bound the Oracles together is too far from their reaches. For now, their only goal is to get out of the high walls together and set off to the nearest possible help.
‘Can anybody tell me why we’re still standing behind the same tree for minutes to count already?’ Satia whispered impatiently to Aiden.
‘We’re waiting for Faran’s signal. She’s trying her best to regroup a couple of Sylphs to help us.’ Aiden replied, watching Amaranths cross over the watch towers.
‘But the Sylphs’ colonies were broken down since the war. It was impossible to regroup some of them.’ Satia said.
Aiden looked at her seriously. ‘We’re using the young ones.’
Satia’s jaws tightened. ‘The young ones? But they’re not full grown yet! Their bodies are half the adult ones! The Amaranths will kill them. Not to mention they’re not colorful yet…’
‘Even though their bodies are smaller, their strengths can take down an adult. They’re much aggressive.’ Aiden answered her. ‘I hope Faran gets a little fast-
‘All clear.’
Faran ran over to the tree next to Aiden’s and flattened her back against it. ‘We’re ready to go.’
Aiden nodded, keeping a keen eyes on the closed gates of the Tower. As much as he wanted to break as much Amaranth neck as possible, he wanted to lead them three to freedom first. Soon he’ll get back to his goal of breaking their necks. They need to get out fast.
‘Let’s go.’ He whispered, as he twirled around the tree to show himself into the moonlight.
Faran did the same and let out a high- pitched scream that sounded like a cry from an agonized bird except that it was loud and shrill. She tilted her head up higher and bared her long fangs as she screamed louder. The sound seemed to reverberate against the concrete walls and echo around.
Guards looked around in alarm, unsheathing their axes from their backs and spotted Aiden walking on casual foot on the path that leads to the gates.
‘You should know well that even if you get to conquer Seivile Gard doesn’t mean you get to conquer its magic as well!’ Aiden said loudly, lifting his palms and pointing his opened palms at the gate. ‘Release!’
Every bolt and metal jerked suddenly in loud clangs. Chains around the huge structure began to curl back, releasing the hinges and sending sparks of metal versus metal around. Guards ran down from the watch towers, in loud rage.
Faran screamed again.
Hundreds of gray- colored wings flew over the high walls. The Sylph’s screeches echoed into the high sky as they plummeted onto the land, tackling guards and baring their deadly fangs at them. Their clawed hands scratched aggressively at any eye that’s open. More flooded in, matching the Amaraths’ number, their enormous wings blocking the bright moonlight as they swooped down at any creature which tried to near Aiden.
