Percy's POV

There she was again. Annabeth Chase. Running down the hallway to her next class. Her blonde curly hair was tied back in a pony tail, her gray eyes darting back and forth as she read her book. Let me remind you she's dodging kids as she's reading a William Shakespeare play as she runs through the hall of Ceaderpoint's High school, home of the Tigers.

I wouldn't mess with her. In grade seven, she punched a kid twice the size of her in the nose because he took her book. She's what I would consider a "violent bookworm". Not that I would tell her that to her face.

Strangely, she was found at the top of the social ladder. I say "strangely", because of the bookworminess, but I'm not surprised. With her long blonde hair that curls, and her startling gray eyes, it was no surprise that when she moved here four years ago New York that she went to the top.

It was also no surprise that boys were always asking her out. From nerds, geeks, and losers like me, to jocks, all were turned down. Why haven't I asked her? Easy. When ever I find the courage to ask, I just remember that seventh grade boy she punched.

Annabeth's POV

"Welcome to science class, please sit down," Mr. Johnson said, "Today we will begin our semester long partner project. Your project is supposed to be on an animal, and you must research where the animal lives, what it eats, how it survives in that climate zone, and so on. I have chosen your partners and your animal."

The class sighs in frustration. Mr. Johnson begins calling out names and the animals, when he finally gets to me.

"Annabeth Chase, you'll be paired with Percy Jackson, and you're animal will be the Siberian Tiger," Mr. Johnson says as he continues calling out names.

Wait, Percy Jackson? Isn't that the kid who lit the table on fire when we were boiling water? Or is he the kid who did the swimming? Or is he both? Is he smart? Probably not.

I see him turn around, his unruly black hair still a mess, and a crooked grin plastered on his face. His sea green eyes seemed to be sympathetic, almost like he was apologizing for what was about to come.

Ta-da! Sorry this took so long to get up. If you like this so far, let me know and I'll continue on:))
