AN: This is my first time writing a "Vikings" fanfic. I watched a full day of "Viking" on TV and bam! I got a spark of creativity... Maybe... LOL! This story doesn't follow what's really going on in the series "Vikings" or what did happen on "Vikings." I'm really shocked (in a good way) about the response I got to this story. I never thought it would generate as much interest as it did. I wasn't going to continue to write it but I've gotten so many followers and feedback on this story that I definitely can't stop writing it. You guys are awesome by the way! Sorry it took so long to get the next chapter out. I'm such a slacker :) Well, let me know what you guys think and happy reading lovelies! :)

Chapter 6

"You look as beautiful as a goddess!" Helga gushed as she braided the last of the flowers into Tóra's side swept hair.

"Thank you Helga," Tóra answered with a nervous smile.

"Are you alright?" Helga questioned.

Tóra nodded as she nervously twisted her fingers in her lap. She stood up after Helga was finished with her hair. She used her hands to smooth out the front of her dress. Her dress was white and of the finest, softest cotton. The dress hugged her body snuggly. The arms of the dress fit snug to her elbows where they flowed freely. It also hugged its way down her legs to her thighs and then it loosened up flowing freely down to her feet pooled slightly. The neckline of the dress scooped into a "U" shape across the top of her breasts. There was also a gold trim that embellished the edges of her dress. After a few moments she picked up the bunch of wildflowers that had been tied together tightly with twine. She looked down at her hands that were trembling slightly.

"I am nervous Helga... I am not certain I can do this..."

Helga blinked hard at Tóra, her face not hiding the shock. "What?"

"I am not certain..."

"Of what?" Helga interjected cutting her off. "Are you uncertain of your feelings for Ragnar? Was this a trick all along?"

The look on Helga's face was one of utter shock and horror.

"No!" Tóra assured her quickly. "I am sure of my feelings for Ragnar and I assure you none of this was any sort of trick."

"Then what is it that you are unsure of?"

The corner of Tóra's lips curled into a frown as she sighed softly.

"Come on, out with it," Helga urged.

"I am unsure if I am strong enough to become his queen..."

Helga laughed at her answer.

Tóra frowned once more at Helga's reaction to her fears. Her laugh stung as though she had been slapped in the face.

"You are unsure that you are strong enough?" she repeated.

Tóra nodded. "I am not like his pervious wives Helga..."

Helga gave her a warm and reassuring smile before sliding her arms around Tóra's shoulders and hugging her tightly. "That is why he loves you so. You were a princess once before, were you not? Yes you were," she continued without allowing Tóra to answer. "Then you are like Aslug. Do you keep Ragnar in his place? Do you ensure Ragnar is taken care of? Then you are in fact like Lagertha as well."

Tóra smiled thoughtfully at her words.

"Now come!" Helga ordered. "Ragnar is waiting!"

Helga led Tóra through Kattegat and down to the beach. Tóra's stomach dropped when she came upon the sight. It seemed as though the entire town had gathered to see their King marry again which did nothing to calm her already frail nerves. As they got closer Tóra finally saw Floki awaiting her arrival. He smiled at her when their eyes met. He raised his arms into the air and the town erupted into cheers and claps. The roar of the cheers grew louder as they all began to turn around to see her. She slowly looked around and her eyes were met by the sight of Ragnar. He was already looking back at her and the corners of his lips pulled up into a smile so wide that bared his teeth. The sight took her breath away. He turned and began making his way to her. Everything slowed down into slow-motion for her and the noise of the people faded away. Her vision narrowed and soon all she could see was him. He was wearing a long sleeved, white linen tunic and black trousers. His hair way neatly pulled back into braids that flowed down his back. The sight of him made her heart beat both faster and slower at the same time. It took her breath away.
