"Alright, class, sorry I'm late. Pull out your textbooks and open them to chapter 3." Xiumin threw his bag onto his chair and turned to face the class of third year magic students. Once they all had their books out, he began. "Ok, Who can tell me--"
"Professor?"
Xiumin sighed. "Yes, Sunny?"
"Are you ok? Why is your face so red?"
"I'm fine. Thank you for your concern. Now who--"
"Professor?"
"...Yes, Sunny?"
"Were you running?"
Xiumin wanted nothing more than to bash his face into a wall. This had not been a good morning. "Yes, Sunny. I was running."
"Why?"
"Because my brother is an asshole. Now who can tell me what makes magic so unique?"
One boy in the front raised his hand.
"Thank you, Zelo."
Zelo stood, towering over his tiny teacher.
"There are Five different types of Magic: Psychic, Physical, Potential, Light, and this class, Dark magic. The first type is potential. Potential magic is when one starts showing signs of having magical powers. This usually starts around the age of 8 or 9. At the age of 16, magic wielders are sorted into schools depending on what type of magic they possess." Zelo paused for a moment unsure of whether to go on. Xiumin nodded to him with a smile. "The four schools are as mentioned before. Each school serves a different purpose and holds a certain name for itself. the Psychic School is the 2nd smallest and rarest. It is also seen is the most admirable and desired magic to have. The Physical school is the largest and most wide in range. Magicians from this school usually go into the military or some other area of combat. Light school is for those who have magic that can be used to help people. We are the dark school. The smallest and the one everyone hates." The class laughed and Zelo gave a small shrug. Xiumin chuckled to himself and bowed his head."Thank you, Zelo. At least someone did their homework." Zelo sat down with a grin on his face and Xiumin continued.
"Dark magic is not exactly hated. It's more misunderstood. I don't want any of you to think you are an outcast for possessing this magic and I definitely do not want any of you to be afraid of your powers. Despite its ominous name, Dark magic is not evil or dangerous is used responsibly." He flicked his hand into the fair and spread his fingers apart. Throughout the small classroom, the windows frosted over, students shivered at the sudden chilliness of the air, and snow began to drift from the roof and onto their books and heads. "Dark magic is just different."
The students looked up in awe, some sticking out their tongues to catch the flakes. Sunny complained of being cold while Zelo stared at his professor in admiration.
"Professor? How do we control our magic well enough to be trusted with it?"
Despite the excitement in the question, Xiumin's face became grave. He curled his fingers into a fist and made a circular motion with his wrist. The frost receded from the windows and the air returned to it's normal temperature. He brushed a few snowflakes off his desk and Zelo stared at them until they hit the floor, his grin fading.
"The thing about magic, I hate to say it, is, even with the most control, there will always be people who will not trust it. Nowadays, there are more people without magical abilities than those with it. Nonetheless, I am here to guide you with your powers and the best I can to help you control it."
Zelo's smile flickered and a few of the students shifted uncomfortably in their seats.
"Professor?"
