I'm back!! I know y'all missed me lol

I looked around at the party we had for not one, but two couples to get married. People were eating, laughing, dancing. Some others were congratulating the blushing newlyweds. Danny was whirling Brenda around the dance floor and Parker had his arms wrapped around my mother while talking to one of their high school friends. At the same time, Mr. Davis slid up next to me with a drink.

"Well done, Grace." He smiled. "This was a wonderful wedding even though you weren't prepared for your mother's."

"It did turn out good." I agreed. I would give her hell later for almost ruining my planning.

"It seems like a great time to celebrate you passing your finals." I looked at him in shock. "Yours was picked with another student's for your individual touches in the designs. Nothing was too planned and in some cases, was unexpected but it worked. Congratulations, Grace; you truly deserved it." With a big hug to Mr. Davis, I rushed over to my family. Hardy saw the grin on my face and laughed, swinging me up in the air.

"Time for presents!" Emma cheered. We gathered around for the usual presents of chinas but one gift was unexpected. Mama stood up in front of the crowd with an old piece of paper.

"Within the next few weeks, I'll be moving with Parker to New York. That leaves my family home with no family." She handed the paper to Danny who skimmed it over in shock.

"It's the deed to the house." Brenda gasped. The crowd clapped but I just stood. If Mama was moving to New York to be with her new husband and Danny and Brenda would have the house, where would I go? I couldn't stay with them. Around me, the clean-up part of the wedding was happening. Walking towards me was my love, all happy and carrying two weekend bags.

"C'mon, darlin; we're gonna be late."

  "Late? For what?"

"Our flight, of course." He grinned down at me. "To San Fran. I have to set up shop over there and I thought it would be great to come along and have our own honeymoon. Now go upstairs and change." i run upstairs as fast as I could, changed and came back and a flowy dress and wedges with my equally departing family. They all knew!

  "How...?" I started with Mama.

"That day he pulled me into the kitchen, he was asking me. I told everyone else today. I'm heading off to New York in two hours and Danny's staying home." She gave me a big hug and kiss. "Go. Have fun. Call me when you land." Everyone stood in front of the house waving us off, I thought we were the ones that had the wedding. I relaxed myself all the way to the airport where his BMW was valeted to the long term section.

"Wow, so this is what they look like." I commented on the huge airport around me. "Very crowded. How do you get through all this?"

"You just have to know how to navigate through it." Hardy smiled down at me in his button down shirt, khakis and boat shoes making him look very San Francisco-like. We made it through Security and into the waiting area where I made myself comfy in Hardy's arms until they started to call first class.

"I get to be in first class?" I asked as we walked into the tunneling to the plane.

"Of course, we would've taken the jet but Mom's doing something in Denver." A jet, those people had a jet and I've never seen the inside of an airplane outside of movies. First class was trendy but elegant with its wide seats and attendants waiting for your every wanting. I was so fascinated by it all; I barely knew we were going to lift off until Hardy pit on my seat belt. Then the panicking started.
