Waking up from the sun shining through the windows, I groaned and shifted in bed. Looking to my right, Saelin was still sleeping beside me. How I wish I could wake up from this sight every morning, I thought. Sometimes, things just don't go your way, do they?
Dating a celebrity must be so difficult for her, I would feel guilty from time to time. I checked my phone and realised it was the 12th of January, her 20th birthday! I am such a terrible boyfriend, how could I forget about that? I guess it's not too late to get her a present right now.
I got up from bed as silently as I could and dashed across the room to the bathroom to wash up. I made sure to close the door of our bedroom before calling my manager. Fortunately, he was free to accompany me.
I went to changed and wore a cap to prevent attention. I thought about what I could get her, it must definitely be meaningful.
My manager and I arrived at a pet shop - I have decided to get her a puppy.
It was still early in the morning so we were the only customers in the shop. I sighed in relief. I walked around the shop and tried looking for a puppy that might suit Saelin. I had no idea why but a dachshund (a kind of breed) attracted my attention. It wasn't exactly very energetic like other puppies but it has some kind of unknown charm that had attracted me.
"I will get this one." I told the staff, pointing at the puppy.
I purposely had it placed inside a big gift box with a hole at the side for oxygen to pass through. We drove home as quickly as possible. I unlocked the door quietly and tiptoed into the house as if I was a thief or something.
I opened the door with my hand before kicking it open wider with the box in my hand and went into our room. I climbed onto the bed after placing the box on the ground, just beside it. I crawled to her side and wrapped my arms around her petite size body.
"Jagiya~ wake up~" I cooed to her ears. No respond, heavy sleepy indeed.
I pecked on her cheek once to no respond again. I kept on pecking on her cheeks until she started to groan and kicked the blanket to the ground without her knowing. I chuckled at her and kissed her once more on her lips.
Saelin stretched her arm towards the headboard as she yawned. "That's so disgusting of you, I haven't even brush my te-" before she could finish her sentence, I interrupted her.
I kissed her lips again. "Happy birthday Kim Saelin!" I cheered before smiling at her. She returned it and wrapped her arms around my neck, "thank you." she whispered.
"Wait." I told her, pulling away to get the present.
I placed it on the bed and her eyes were widened at the size of the box. "What's in there?" she asked curiously, knocking the box then putting her ears against it. "Open it and you will know." I said, chuckling.
She opened the box and her eyes grew bigger. "Oh my god Sehun!" Saelin exclaimed before hugging me tightly.
I smiled at her reaction and praised myself for the choice of gift in my head. "Do you like it?" I questioned.
"Of course! It's so cute, oh my god." she said, carrying the puppy out from the box to place it on her lap.
"I won't be home often so this little guy can keep you company, hope you love it jagi." I said, pecking on her cheek.
"Guy? He's a male?" She asked.
"Mmhmm, so what are you gonna name him?" I tilted my head as I tugged a loose hair behind her ear.
"Hmm.. how about Dream?" she suggested while caressing it. I nodded my head in agreement.
"Your name shall be Dream, okay? You're so cuteee" she said, holding it up as she kissed its head gently.
"Cuter than me?" I asked while pouting.
"Yes." she answered almost immediately. "Hmph!" I crossed my arms over my chest as I sulked like a little child having his lollipop snatched away.
Her laughter enveloped the whole room. "You're not the cutest but you're the best!" she said, pecking my cheeks.
"Here." I requested, pouting my lips out while pointing to it. She chuckled and obliged, kissing me quickly but before she could pull away, I wrapped my arms around her waist as I kissed her longer.
