-JONGIN'S POV-
Byun Hyemi, she is finally back.
Even after 2 years, she still look the same, so beautiful. I couldn't help but think that fate is behind all these happenings - us meeting again and being in the same class.
But, she don't remember who I am, does she?
Does she remember how we had met for the first time? Does she remember those 'coincident' eye contacts we had? Does she remember my confession? Does she remember the days we had spent together? Does she remember us?
That argument before the car accident, I will want that to be the last thing she will ever remember. I have been blaming myself to have let her go just like that . I visited her everyday at the hospital, without her parents' knowing and my heart hurts every single time watching her lying on that bed, unconscious.
Until that day, when the room was left with the empty bed, neatly made. The nurse told me she had woken up, and left .
I was heartbroken and felt like I was betrayed. I was wondering if she had left because she wanted to avoid me. And today, I got the answer.
She have just, forgotten me, forgotten us .
She have now came back with a lost memory, not recognising who I am. With that unknown determination in my heart, I made a mental note to myself - I will never let her go again.
I will make you fall for me, all over again. I said in my mind.
Staring at her in class, she is still the same old her, not paying attention in class. Unlike other girls. Hyemi doesn't curl or straighten her hair. She doesn't put on those thick layer of make-up. And those sums up to the reasons why I love her, even after 2 years.
"Jongin, can you please tell us the answer for this equation?" Mrs Lee asked as she crossed her arms over her chest. Math bullshit, I thought in my head.
"Er.." I trailed off, everyone looking at me, including Hyemi. "2x square?"
As if it was the funniest joke in the world, everyone burst out laughing. My eyes found those pair of chocolate brown eyes and I grinned at her as she chuckled along with others.
"Pay attention, Mr Kim." Mrs Lee warned me and continued with her teaching.
"Pay attention, Mr Kim." Chanyeol repeated in a failed high pitch voice, teasing me.
"Shut up." I snapped, throwing a ball of paper at him.
Math lesson was finally over, it's lunch break time. Hyemi was packing her bag. I carry my bag over my shoulder and headed towards her direction with courage. "Hey you wanna eat lunch together?" I asked her as I rubbed the nape of my neck. "Yeah sure, why not?" she agreed with a smiled.
"Cafe or canteen?" I asked while facing her as we walked.
"Watch ou-!" "Ouch!" I groaned as I bumped onto a wall behind me. Instead of asking if I was alright, Hyemi started laughing her ass off, holding onto her stomach as she continued walking slowly ahead of me. "Funny huh?" I said with a hint of sarcasm.
I held her petite waist and pinned her against the wall beside us. She stopped laughing and gulped. I leaned dangerously close to her, holding back the urge to just steal her lips.
"Still funny?" I smirked.
She quickly shook her head and looked away. Her cheeks flared up and I couldn't help but just pecked her on the cheek before pulling away from her.
