"Baekhyun, I've already told you from the beginning of our relationship, I want to take things slowly." Mina argued, crossing her arms over her chest.
"But Mina, don't you want a house that belongs to only us and have a family together?" said Baekhyun after sighing.
"Let's not talk about this anymore, it's getting late. I'm going home, bye Baek." she went off without saying a proper goodbye, leaving Baekhyun standing there with his heart broken.
Baekhyun and Mina have been dating for 3 years now however, no matter how many times Baekhyun asked the big question, she just wouldn't agree. Mina likes taking things slow and love how it is like now with Baekhyun. However, Baekhyun had the opposite thinking from Mina - he wants to start a family with Mina.
This topic has been brought up by him since last month and he just wouldn't give up. Don't give up Baekhyun, she will accept you one day, he thought to himself.
That night, Baekhyun did not text Mina after the confrontation with her. It was unlikely of him to not send a goodnight text. Is he mad at me? Did something happened? Mina couldn't help but had these questions in her mind.
As the night grew darker, she was too tired to even care about her leftover work. She laid on her bed and dreamland welcomed her.
"What the.." she muttered as she woke up from the piercing loud ringtone of her phone. She sat up and rubbed her eyes before picking up the call.
"Hello?" Mina answered with her eyes closed - half awake from her deep slumber.
"Mina! Come quickly to the hospital right now! Baekhyun got into an accident, I will send you the address after this call." Baekhyun's friend - Suho spoke at the other line.
"What?! What happened to him?! Mina replied with a hint of fear.
"I will explain to you later, just come quickly now!" he shouted as if he was annoyed at her questions.
Without thinking much, she rushed to the hospital without changing. Inside the taxi, she couldn't help but pray for Baekhyun to be safe. Yes, he will be safe, he will be, she chanted in her head. Mina was interlocking both her hands tightly as a tear slipped out of her eyes without her knowing. Please be fine Byun Baekhyun, she prayed in her head once again. She couldn't help but think how life would be so less meaningful without Baekhyun, how she wants to end her life as well if Baekhyun leave her.
She ran out of the taxi before the driver could even thanked her for the tips, dashing inside the hospital quickly. She looked around the hospital like a lost child before grabbing onto a random nurse, "Please bring me to room 127, please!" she begged desperately as another tear streamed down her cheeks.
The nurse looked at her in shocked before nodding her head, bringing her to the room she had asked for. As she reached the level the room Baekhyun was in, she could see Sehun standing outside a room with the number 127 stated on it. "S-Sehun.." she muttered.
Sehun looked up with the same puffy red eyes as her. "G-Go in now." he said as he sniffled. Mina immediately barged into the room to see the man she love so much laying on the bed provided with his head bandaged.
Baekhyun looked so unlike himself.. so peaceful. She hates it, she didn't like how Baekhyun seems so quiet and not noisy - like a beagle she would usually describe him as.
"Byun Baekhyun!" she shouted as soon as he reached his side, kneeling on her knees. Mina interlocked their hands together, "Wake up you idiot!" she called.
"What freaking happened to him?!" she glared at Suho. If looks could kill, Suho would have already been dead.
"H-He was drunk and he crossed the road without looking out for cars.." he replied, burning holes on his shoes as he stared at them - avoiding Mina's glare.
"Why weren't you taking care of him? You're his hyung!" she started blaming him. But it wasn't the time to blame anyone, it was about Baekhyun now.
Mina laid her head on his chest before she cried, "come on, wake up now! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have rejected you, I'm sorry. I really don't know what to do without you, come on baby, wake up.." She was sobbing without herself knowing, staining Baekhyun's white shirt with her hot tears.
"I need you, Baekhyun. I need you in my life, Byun Baekhyun. I want to be your wife and watch with you as our kids grow up, please. I love you so much." she admitted honestly.
Giggles were heard after a few seconds. What the hell are they laughing at, it's a life at stake right now, she thought to herself before lifting her head up to find all of Baekhyun's friends laughing. "What the hell?" she commented as she wiped her tears with the back of her palm.
"Baek you have succeeded the mission hmm?" Chen said. Confusion could be seen on Mina's face. "Huh?" Mina couldn't help but asked.
She turned her head back and Baekhyun was grinning at her. "Oh my god!" she screamed, jumping a little from shock. "You..You're a-awake?!" she stammered.
"Nice fashion sense, Mina." Sehun teased. Mina looked down to find herself still in her pajamas. Her face became beet red, embarrassed.
"Stop teasing her, idiots." Baekhyun said protectively.
"Remember the treat, Baek. Alright guys, let's give them some time alone, let's go home now." Suho spoke while smiling.
The room was left Baekhyun and Mina. She was still staring at the ground blankly. Am I t-trolled? She was so shocked that she was even stuttering in her thoughts.
"Are you gonna continue standing there and ignore me?" that familiar voice spoke. "D-Did I just got t-trolled by you guys?" she questioned innocently.
Baekhyun chuckled at her innocence, "Kinda, but I got the answer I needed. By the way, it's on the 15th of May." he said with a smirk.
"Huh? Answer? What's on the 15th of May?" By then, Mina's head was swirling with questions.
"Our wedding." Baekhyun answered.
"W-What?!" she exclaimed.
"No backing out, I heard what you said, you wanted to have a family with me too so it's settled, I don't care." Baekhyun said determinedly before embracing Mina in a bear hug.
Mina sighed, there's no way taking back those words anymore. But it's wasn't that bad, she realised how much she really needed him after just now. "Alright.." she said, hugging him back and snuggled in his neck.
Even though she couldn't see Baekhyun, he knew that he was smiling widely as he tightened the hug. He suddenly pulled away and took a small purple box out of the drawer which was next to the bed.
Baekhyun knelt down on his knee after getting out of bed, opening the small purple box to reveal a shiny yet simple ring. He could hear his quick heartbeat against his chest.
"Bae Mina, will you marry me?" he proposed.
"Y-Yes, I do." Mina finally agreed, with a smile on her face.
